At the Lephalale SPCA, we meet many dogs, but every now and then, one truly steals our hearts – and Ogies did just that. With her wagging tail, sparkling eyes, and the most infectious smile, she brings joy to everyone she meets.

August 2025 Online applications for our Puppy Training & Socialization group classes have opened. 4 week course, classes will held at 10:00AM commencing Saturday 9 August and Sunday 10 August (please choose on the enrolment form). R 750 per puppy. Class duration is +/- 45 - 60 mins to include play and socialisation time.

Space is limited to keep class sizes smaller and to ensure individualised attention for all our students. Apply now to avoid disappointment.

The South African Weather Service has issued a severe cold front alert for the Western Cape, expected Wednesday 25 June to Friday 27 June.

We urge all pet owners, farmers, and animal lovers to take immediate precautions:

🔹 Bring pets indoors — Keep them warm, dry, and comfortable.
🔹 Move horses and livestock to higher, sheltered ground if flooding is a risk.
🔹 Check animals daily for signs of hypothermia or distress.
🔹 Secure shelters against wind and water damage.
