Our Emperor Thrive Project dogs are a few weeks into their journey and the first feedback from their families is in. We are super happy with the results thus far!

It's still early days, so we'll keep following their progress and sharing the good, the challenges and everything in between.

This is exactly what Thrive is about — honest journeys, not perfect stories.

Last week Friday, we said goodbye to one of our own ❤️‍🩹
Our Bullet was sent over the rainbow bridge suddenly. We were not ready. The house is not the same. There is a space where our boy used to be.

Then Sunday happened.

A puppy was rescued but needed a home. I offered to foster. My heart still too shattered to even consider bringing in new blood.

The other dogs are still mourning their own loss and in comes this thing with puppy level energy. It's a blur. For all of us.

No dog could ever replace Bullet. Ever.

But we can't help wondering about the timing of this little fellow. Maybe sometimes, when your heart is hurting, life sends you something that doesn't fill the hole... but gives you another reason to smile.

For now, we're "fostering". 👀

He doesn't have a name yet, so we're taking suggestions, you know - for the "foster!" 🙈
