A big congratulations to Tarryn and Grethe on a fantastic day at Nkangala Equestrian! 🌟

After Tarryn’s horse, Tan, sadly went lame just days before the show, Penny kindly offered Astanel, and the pair went on to win both Elementary 1 and Elementary 2. What a lovely example of support and sportsmanship within our dressage community.

Well done too to Grethe and Savannah for taking 1st place in both Adult Novice 2 and Adult Novice 3. 🏆

Nkangala Equestrian Club, Nkangala Equestrian in Middelburg put on a wonderful show. The venue is beautiful, the rosettes and prizes were stunning!

We’re incredibly proud of both riders and look forward to supporting the next Nkangala show, 5th Ave will definitely be there! 🐴✨

This weekend at KPC was a reminder that success in this sport isn’t always measured by ribbons and placings. Sometimes it’s about showing up, pushing through the challenges, and making it from the start bell to the finish line. 🐴❤️

Mianda rode through to the second round and finished 7th out of a large class of 50 riders. Riding Damascus is no easy task, and after a few setbacks at the beginning of the year, it has been wonderful to see their partnership developing. Mianda has remained dedicated, patient, and determined, and her hard work is really starting to pay off. The progress they’ve made together is something to be incredibly proud of.

For Kiana and Bourbon, this was only their third away show together and Bourbon’s final outing in the 80cm classes. He picked up just 1 penalty in the first round after a moment of distraction, and by the second round, after giving so much in the first class, fatigue began to show and he finished on 16 penalties.

What stood out most wasn’t the penalties or placings, but the progress. Bourbon was noticeably calmer, more settled, and growing in confidence throughout the day. Every show is a learning experience, and every round completed builds trust, resilience, and experience for both horse and rider.

Let’s remember to celebrate the small victories, the perseverance, and the partnerships that keep showing up and trying again. That’s where the real success lives. ✨

Leonie & Robbie competed in the Junior Elementary classes for Gauteng champs, placing 3rd. Lots of lessons were learned & we look forward to seeing what this new partnership does in the future.

Placing 2nd in the warm-up, 3rd in the Elementary Championship & 4th in the Elementary 3 Qualifier to secure qualification for the Championship round. They finished the weekend with 3rd place in the Freestyle and were the highest-placed amateur rider.

Placing a fabulous 3rd place in the Preliminary Championship, an impressive 71% in the warm-up, 5th in the Preliminary 3 Qualifier & 4th in the Preliminary 3 Championship.
The Freestyle round provided valuable experience for this promising young horse.
