Always reppin for vet med 🩺🐾
before leaving LA, I got to spend some time at FIGS headquarters, where I was a part of the Fruitful Talk panel series that FIGS does for their internal employees so that they can hear from ambassadors and their respective fields!
During this talk, I was able to give some insight on the mental health struggles that veterinarians, veterinary nurses, and veterinary professionals experience, and the work needed within this space.
I was so honored to hear from and speak alongside others ambassadors (nurse and future nurse practitioner Farida Labaran and ER PA George Sargashian, PA-C ), as well from Corey Feist, the CEO and Co-Founder of the Dr. Lorna Breen Foundation who has done extensive work to fight stigma and laws affecting mental health work for physicians and other health professionals.
Thank you FIGS and Dr. Lorna Breen Foundation for the endless work you’re doing to spotlight vet med and veterinary professionals in these discussions and advocacy!
And of course, I had to give the FIGS HQ office pups some love, and grab some swag before heading out! 🫶🏾
