The dog ate my ______. 🙉🙈 If your dog is eating the shoes, kids homework, your food off your counter I have some helpful tips. Keep a short leash on in the house! That way we can correct behaviors fast. Next, management don’t leave temping objects out if you are not able to supervise the dog. Kennel them for their safety!

Many times when we say “I don’t want my dog doing X,Y & Z 🥴but we aren’t sending a clear message of what the dog should be doing. Teaching a place command helps with all of the following: nuisance behaviors (jumping on guests, under foot while 🥘 , taking other dogs toys🧸 ), while allowing the dog to be out and included the dog is learning how to be calm in the 🏡

The 3 D’s of dog training. Distance, duration & distractions. After we name commands “sit” “down” etc. we add in distance take a set back & reward. Then we ask the dog to stay in position longer. Finally we proof the commands around distractions. This is how we get reliable obedience 💯🐶

Barking, barking, barking. If you’re about to loose your marbles every time you have guests over or Fido is barking at the wind. I have some tips: step #1 mental stimulation (stuffed Kong, bully sticks, slow feeders) step #2 teach your dog what to do instead (place command recommended) step #3 reward for quiet & calm ✌🏻🤫 #4 make sure to interrupt dogs for window watching & barking 🪟
