Rowan is spayed! She did well for her surgery but she's having a rough recovery. Rowan is old, so we knew the vet would find stuff growing. We had samples sent out to determine the makeup of the cysts.
We spend a lot of money on making sure we get every test. We do as many procedures as needed to verify and insure the health and best outcomes for our rabbits. This test to see if this was cancer is $286 without the spay cost. We also did this same test on Becky. This means both girls spays were around $400 each. Ramona had xrays with her spay so hers was around $400 as well. We did chest rads on Rowan and Becky to be sure there was no cancer spread to their lungs because we've seen it so many times. This is 3 girls, adding up to $1600 just to get them spayed and have diagnostics done.
Our adoption fee is $125.
All of that to say: if you support what we do, if you're moved by our work at all, please share.
We are incredibly thankful to our regular donors. But we need to reach more people. We need more help and sadly, with the amount of veterinary debt we have, we do have to stop accepting new rabbits again. And this time I mean it. We cannot. We cannot afford to take any more. Stacy isn't even spayed yet.
We really need help friends❤️🩹
