💛 Double the golden girl, double the love...right?!?! 💛

Meet Jade and Mae, two gentle Golden Retriever sisters searching for the loving families they deserve. At 4 years old, these sweet girls have spent their lives together and adore one another, but they don't have to be adopted as a pair. While keeping them together would be a dream come true, we know adopting two large dogs isn't possible for every family.

Both of these beautiful ladies are currently thriving in a loving foster home alongside other canine pals. They are potty trained, do well either in their x-pen or loose in the home, and have been working hard on building their confidence while walking on leash. Their foster says these girls surprise her every day with the progress they make and that they truly balance each other out.

Both Jade and Mae are shy when meeting new people and will need patient adopters who understand that trust takes time. Once they settle in, you'll discover two incredibly sweet, loving girls who enjoy the company of other dogs and are learning that the world isn't such a scary place. If they are adopted separately, they will need a confident, friendly large breed dog in the home to help show them the ropes and continue building their confidence.

🐾 Mae has a heart murmur, but the good news is that her echocardiogram showed her heart is structurally normal and functioning well. Her murmur is caused by a mild condition that is not expected to cause significant issues in the future. She was also diagnosed with mild Grade 1 elbow arthritis, which isn't affecting her mobility, but daily joint supplements would likely help keep her comfortable.

🐾 Jade has moderate hip dysplasia in her right hip. Thankfully, it isn't affecting the way she walks or her quality of life, but she would also benefit from daily joint supplements to support her joints long-term.

These girls don't need perfection—they simply need kind, patient people willing to give them the time they need to blossom. Watching a shy dog gain confidence and learn to trust is one of the most rewarding experiences, and Jade and Mae are so deserving of that chance.

🐾 A Heartfelt Thank You to Eagle Scout Matthew Quirke! 🦅

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Matthew Quirke of Troop 152 for choosing The Love Pet Project as the beneficiary of his Eagle Scout service project!

Matthew handcrafted these incredible dog leashes that will be used by our rescue dogs as they begin their journey to finding loving forever homes. In addition to the leashes, he donated an amazing collection of much-needed supplies, including peanut butter, cleaning products, water buckets, treats, and many other essentials that help us care for our dogs every day.

The time, hard work, and generosity that went into this project will make a lasting impact on the lives of countless rescue dogs. We are so honored that Matthew chose to support our mission.

Please join us in congratulating Eagle Scout Matthew Quirke on this incredible achievement and thanking him for making a difference for homeless pets. Congratulations, Matthew, and thank you for your kindness and dedication! ❤️🐶🦅
