We need the perfect home for Penny. Penny made her way into the shelter today. She’s 14 years old and is so very confused as to why she’s here with us. Her mom who loved her very much passed away. We need to make her stay with us as short as possible!

Penny is a Dachshund Mix. She still has some s***k left in her! She would do best with older dogs because she enjoys relaxing. She will need older kids due to her age. We will test her with kitties first thing in the morning!!

Please let’s get this senior girl into her retirement home so she doesn’t have to live in the shelter 💔

** Penny is in our care in Altoona PA. She is available for adoption. Each animal gets microchipped, spayed/neutered and vaccinated. The adoption fee covers those costs. Adoption fees are listed on the application. An application must be filled out in order to visit with any dog or cat. They can be found on our website www.centralpahumane.org under the Adopt A Pet tab or at the shelter. Our animals are posted on Facebook and Petfinder when time permits. A Petfinder inquiry is not an application, and they may not be responded to. We can only accept so many applications for each animal. We do adopt out of state, but we cannot hold the animal. **
