HOW I GOT STARTED

Hey guys! My name is Kayleigh Nelson and I am the “founder” or whatever you want to call it, of Silly Paws--Boarding & Sitting. I created this page because of my love for animals (especially dogs), and how much I enjoy helping others when I can. Why not make money doing what I love?

I am a 2018 graduate from University of Central Oklahoma with a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice and have a wonderful career with the Department of Corrections as a Probation and Parole Officer. I never would have thought I could do something like this and attempt to make a business out of it. Of course, I know a “business” requires a lot more than making a page, but I do hope one day, I can turn my hobby into something I can make a living out of.

I am getting married to the man of my dreams in October 2020! Tim is a wonderful man, coach, fiancé, son, and brother. He is so supportive of my business and does anything he can to support me in any way! I appreciate him more than he knows!

A little about my fur babies: Beau is an Australian Shepherd who, my mom likes to say, needs a daily dose of Ritalin! He is a typical Aussie with lots of energy and a sassy attitude! Ghost is my sweet little angel girl. She is a pit bull with the calmest attitude. I have never had a puppy who would rather sleep than do normal puppy things. She is the best snuggler and will sleep right on your neck, if you let her!
