Courtesy Post -- Maple in Napa Needs a New Home

Here's what her owners say:
Maple

We adopted Maple from the Solano County Shelter when she was 7 months old. She will be 4 on April 27, 2026. She is 80lbs, and is spayed and microchipped. We have the info to update the microchip information.

Maple is very energetic, but after a walk will happily lay around with you. One of her favorite things to do is sunbathe, she could spend hours laying out in the sun. She is everyone’s best friend! She loves everyone she’s ever met, but her enthusiasm can be a bit much for some. She has come a long way since we got her but she will still jump if she gets too excited. Also for this reason she may be too much for some dogs. She wastes no time jumping in trying to play with dogs she meets. She would be best with a dog evenly matched to her play style or would be happy being an only dog. She needs careful introductions, as she can get overwhelmed and will match energy. She also has a rough play style.
She would be best in a home with no cats or small animals. She is very strong and pulls hard on the leash.
She's potty trained, crate trained and very smart.

If you are interested in meeting Maple, please comment below and we'll put you in touch with her owners.

Bug came into our care through the Humane Society North Bay as an owner surrender, and she was heartbreakingly close to death. She is extremely thin and currently being treated for a respiratory infection, and there was real concern about whether she would pull through.
But Bug is showing us just how strong she is. 💪 With immediate medical care, warmth, and lots of love, she’s already fighting back—and we truly believe she’s going to be okay.
Every animal deserves a chance, especially when they arrive at their most vulnerable. Bug’s story is a powerful reminder of why timely surrender and compassionate care can save lives.
Please keep Bug in your thoughts as she continues her recovery, and thank you for supporting a community that steps up when it matters most. 🐾💕

✨ This is the power of the rescue community. ✨

We received a desperate call from a woman in Fresno who had tried everything—reaching out to rescues closer to home, asking for help, refusing to give up. She was caring for a beautiful mama dog and her puppies and, despite doing everything she could, had run out of options for the mama and the last two pups.

She was able to find homes for the other puppies, but still needed help to keep this little family safe.

Through the power of networking, compassion, and people saying “yes” instead of “sorry,” we were able to step in. The mama dog and a puppy are now safe with a rescue and in foster homes where they can finally rest and begin their next chapter.

And the best part? She’s able to keep one puppy she loves—because we can help with spay/neuter so the cycle doesn’t repeat. 💛

This is what rescue truly looks like—not one organization, not one person, but a community coming together when it matters most. 🐾

Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible.

Alfie the Corgi came to us during a really tough moment.
He was in a bad situation and needed immediate rehoming, and everything happened fast. What didn’t take long, though, was how quickly he stole hearts.
A wonderful foster family stepped up when Alfie needed it most, offering him safety, stability, and love. And somewhere along the way, “temporary” turned into forever.
We’re happy to share that Alfie’s foster family is now his forever family 🏡❤️
From uncertainty to security, this is the kind of ending we hope for every animal in our care.
Thank you to everyone who helps make happy endings like Alfie’s possible. Fostering saves lives.
