One of the best parts of our HH competition teams isn’t just the ribbons, buckles, or personal bests. It’s the friendships, support, and memories built along the way. 20 Heavenly Horses students took on Fullerton Gymkhana Show #4 today!!!🏆🐴

Our team conquered the jumping pattern “Hurry Scurry”, made unforgettable memories and achieved countless new personal bests along the way! We also had multiple riders clock some of the fastest times of the day and earn Daily High Point!🥇

2 Gymkhanas this month for our Fullerton Team! 🏇✨

You guys LOVED our last Trainer Tip Tuesday, so we’re back with more tips!

This week let’s talk about:
🪽1. As a trainer, what is a technique you teach your students from day one?
🪽2. Favorite horse color
🪽3. Favorite helmet and rodeo hat company

-🐴 Tara
Ride square and stay centered with your horse. Maintain a balanced position and ride with feel in your fingers so you’re always ready to communicate. Focus on soft, consistent contact and keeping your horse responsive in your hands.

When my students begin trotting, I teach diagonals from day one. Whether riding Western, English, or Barrels, understanding the correct diagonal is an important part of proper equitation and biomechanics.

I teach my students to keep their toes up to help maintain balance and stay deep in the saddle. I also emphasize using the heel of the foot rather than the side for clearer cues.

June is just getting started and we already have so many exciting announcements to share! 🐎🔥

Looking ahead we’ve got a packed schedule:
•☀️2 Upcoming Gymkhanas
•☀️8 Jackpot Barrel Races
•☀️Beach Day with the horses at Fiesta Island
•☀️Week 1 of our Summer Camps
AND…
•☀️We’re heading to Utah for the Ruby Buckle Race!

We also had an incredible HH Performance Team Practice arena rental at CRC this past weekend, made it home safe and recovered from Vegas, and even flew out of state to try some new horses for our clients✈️

Feeling incredibly grateful for this beautiful weather and all the opportunities this summer is bringing. Our riders are setting big goals, putting in the work, and we can’t wait to see everything they accomplish in the weeks ahead!

✨ Throwback Thursday ✨

Heavenly Horses was established over a DECADE ago in 2014 with one girl, one horse, and a dream. From the Public Arena to the Saddle Club, and now our own private facility, every step has been built on hard work, dedication, and believing in the bigger picture.

We’re forever grateful for the lesson horses who helped shape HH and the countless memories they created along the way.
Here are some of the lesson horses that helped shape the way:

Priscilla, Twister, Missy, Rose, Diamond, Mater, Cruz, Stanley, Dolly, HB, Ruby, Rooster, Jet, Sandy, Martini, Sugar.

What started with 1 girl and 1 horse has grown into 5 trainers, 11 current lesson horses, and a boarding facility caring for 30 horses.

Open to all *currently enrolled* Heavenly Horses students, this special day is packed with hands-on learning, groundwork activities, a trail ride, and an advanced lesson with their trainer! It’s the perfect opportunity to gain experience, build confidence, and spend even more time doing what you love being around horses!
