Planning some summer travel? Don't forget your co-pilot! 🐱🌸

If you're bringing your cat along for the ride this June, the right carrier makes all the difference. Look for one with good ventilation, a secure latch, and enough room for them to sit and turn comfortably.

Pro tip: leave the carrier out at home beforehand so they can get used to it before the trip!

Does your cat travel like a champ or make you work for it? 😂

Getting outside with your dog isn't just good for them, it's good for you too. Studies show that walking with your pet can reduce stress, boost your mood, and strengthen your bond.

June is the perfect month to make it a daily habit. 🙌

Collars can break and tags can fade, but a microchip can provide a permanent path back home.

June is National Microchipping Month, and while these tiny tags cannot track location, a battery-free microchip provides a unique ID that stays with your pet for life. This tamperproof safety net significantly raises the odds of a reunion if registry details stay current.

Part dog. Part shark. 100% unstoppable. 🦈💦

Dog life jackets aren't just adorable, they're genuinely important for water safety, especially for breeds that aren't strong swimmers or dogs that are new to the water.

If your pup is hitting the pool, lake, or boat this summer, a properly fitted life vest is a must! 🙌

Stop in and we can help you find the right fit before summer gets into full swing.

🔥 BBQ Season is Here — Keep Your Pets Safe! 🐾

Backyard BBQs are fun for the whole family, but some cookout favorites can be dangerous for our furry friends. 🍔🌭

🚫 Keep these away from pets:
• Cooked bones – can splinter and cause serious injuries
• Corn cobs – common cause of intestinal blockage
• Onions & garlic – toxic to dogs and cats
• Alcohol & desserts containing xylitol – extremely dangerous
• Fatty scraps – may trigger pancreatitis

☀️ Don’t forget:
🐶 Provide fresh water and shade
🐱 Keep pets away from hot grills and open flames
🎆 Loud gatherings can be stressful — create a quiet safe space indoors if needed

If your pet gets into something unsafe, contact us right away.

From all of us at Paws N Claws Veterinary Hospital, we hope you and your pets have a fun, safe, and happy BBQ season! ❤️🐾
