Think working as a Kennel Assistant is all about playing with puppies and cuddling kittens? Well, there’s plenty of love involved, but there’s also a LOT of hard work! 😉🐾

At Paws ’n’ Claws Veterinary Hospital, our Kennel Assistants play an important role in keeping our hospital clean, safe, comfortable, and running smoothly for our patients and their people!

🧹 Cleaning Crew: Clean and disinfect kennels, cages, floors, and hospital areas to keep our patients healthy and safe.

🥣 Mealtime & More: Provide food and fresh water and help care for animals according to their individual care instructions.

🛁 Bath Time: Help keep our furry friends clean and smelling fresh by assisting with bathing services!

🩺 Technician Appointment Support: Assist our veterinary team with technician appointments, helping keep visits organized and patients comfortable.

🐶 Comfort & Care: Give patients gentle handling, attention, and a little extra love while they’re staying with us.

🛏️ Cozy Spaces: Change bedding, keep kennels tidy, and make sure pets have a comfortable place to rest.

🧺 Keep It Stocked: Wash laundry, organize supplies, and help maintain a clean, organized hospital.

👀 Watchful Eyes: Observe pets for changes in behavior or signs of distress and alert the medical team when something doesn’t seem right.

💡 Proper UVB lighting can be essential for many species.
🥬 Nutrition should be species-specific.
🏡 The right enclosure makes a big difference.
🩺 Regular veterinary care helps catch problems early.

Reptiles are experts at hiding signs of illness, which means routine checkups can be especially important. A reptile that looks “fine” may still have an underlying health concern.

Veterinary Technicians are an essential part of the veterinary healthcare team. They work alongside our veterinarians to provide the hands-on care our furry (and sometimes scaly!) family members need. 🐾

🩺 Here are just a few things Veterinary Technicians do:

🐕 Patient Care: Monitor patients, check vital signs, and help keep pets comfortable during their visits.

💉 Medical Support: Assist with treatments, administer medications as authorized, and collect samples for diagnostic testing.

At Paws n Play Doggy Daycare, our Daycare Attendants help make sure every pup has a safe, fun, and tail-waggingly wonderful day! 🐕💕
