Holiday Safety Tips for Your Pets 🎆🎄

The Christmas and New Year season is full of fun, but it can also bring hidden dangers for pets. Please keep these tips in mind to help keep your furry family members safe:

🐾 Foods to Avoid:
Chocolate, grapes/raisins, onions, garlic, xylitol, alcohol, and fatty foods can be toxic to pets.

🐾 Decorations & Plants:
Keep tinsel, ornaments, ribbons, and electrical cords out of reach. Holiday plants like poinsettias, mistletoe, and holly can cause illness if ingested.

🐾 Noise & Stress:
Fireworks and loud gatherings can be very stressful. Provide a quiet, secure space and ensure pets are properly identified in case they escape.

🐾 Candles & Open Flames:
Never leave pets unattended around candles or fireplaces.

🐾 Medications & Small Items:
Secure human medications, party favors, and small objects that could be swallowed.

If you have any concerns about your pet during the holidays, please contact us as soon as possible. For emergencies outside of our hours, seek care at your nearest emergency veterinary hospital.
