Holiday Closure Notice 🇺🇸

Our clinic will be closed the week of July 1st–July 7th in observance of the 4th of July holiday and to allow our team a well-deserved break.

🐾 Please make sure to:
✔️ Refill prescriptions in advance
✔️ Schedule any needed appointments ahead of time
✔️ Contact us with any questions before we close

We’ll reopen on Monday, July 7th, ready to care for your pets again!

Understanding Arthritis in Pets: Why Early Intervention Matters

Arthritis is a common, progressive condition in both cats and dogs that can start earlier than many pet owners realize. It often develops gradually, making it easy to overlook in the early stages.

Early signs may include:

Stiffness after rest
Hesitation to jump, climb stairs, or go for walks
Decreased activity or changes in behavior
Overgrooming or reduced grooming (especially in cats)
Identifying arthritis early allows us to manage pain, reduce inflammation, and slow the disease’s progression with tools like weight management, joint supplements, physical therapy, and tailored medications.

If your pet is showing subtle signs of discomfort, schedule an evaluation. Early treatment leads to a longer, more comfortable life.

As we celebrate, here are a few Easter pet safety tips to keep your furry friends happy and healthy:

- Chocolate is toxic to dogs and cats – keep all Easter treats out of reach.
- Plastic grass in Easter baskets can be tempting to chew but dangerous if swallowed.
- Lilies are highly toxic to cats – even a small amount can be deadly.
- Keep pets indoors during busy egg hunts to avoid stress or accidental escapes.
Stay safe, enjoy the sunshine, and give your pets an extra cuddle from us (and Harry)!
