When you love your “happy place” so much… why wait for a ride? On July 22, Sampson, an energetic pup, slipped out of his fenced yard and engineered his own 1.5‑mile journey straight to his favorite hangout: Dogtopia of Springfield! That’s right, he made the journey all on his own to his home away from home!

"Relieved and not at all surprised" is how his parents described their reaction to the news.

Sampson the dog surprised his owners by escaping from his fenced backyard to travel over a mile, across busy roads, to visit his friends at his favorite doggy daycare

"Good evening, my name is Appa and I am here for my 'Meet & Greet'. I know first impressions are important so I hope you are bringing your A game to this interview.

I was told the 2 Golden Rules in the lobby, she was very clear. That's fine but I'm going to need the team to match my energy!"

After full inspection of the playroom and extended negotiation, Appa agrees that snap on ties for the humans are best - we are all about safety here at Dogtopia North Worcester!

GERMS! We've all got 'em but let's not share the icky ones - okay?

We know it can be hard to leave your pups at home, especially when they are not feeling well. Bringing sick pups to daycare is a bummer for the sick pup and all the pups they share it with, but especially during boarding season. Keep in mind a sick pup this time of year can really mess with a family's vacation time and have a much greater impact than a couple days home. We are a family here at Dogtopia - we can protect our pups - together!
