Shy or timid dogs can panic in unfamiliar situations and may try to slip out of their equipment if startled. Using two leads—one attached to a martingale collar and one attached to a secure harness—adds an important layer of safety and backup protection. If one piece of equipment fails or slips off, you still have control of your dog. This simple precaution can help prevent escapes and keep your dog safe while building confidence on walks.

We are so happy that Molly is back home after 4 days! Owner's comment: "Thanks so much for the lost pet network support.
I'm on some rural acreage with some very good neighbors and asked the three closest to keep an eye out for her. Put up signage on the back of local road signs and for greater visibility, and had picked up three blank yard signs yesterday morning to place on strategic corners for better visibility, using printed copies of the pet FBI pet flyer in sheet protectors to keep water out. I had left her food out for the four days she was missing and when I got back yesterday afternoon noticed the water and food bowls were empty, then saw some muddy paw prints and then shortly after that, she showed up from her four day safari none the worst for wear except for being a little dirty. None of the neighbors ever saw her.
There's plenty of rural acreage nearby. Guessing she heard the severe storms in the distance before I heard them when she was roaming nearby and decided to seek shelter on a nearby farm with cows horses and a barn for shelter. She was having too much fun and decided to stay a few days, sharing the food and water put out for farm dogs. Set up several long tie out cables around the perimeter of the RV carport so she can do her business and make it to the tree line for shade as needed while I figure out the best, most cost effective way to keep her on the property. Praying for a safe return of the other lost dogs bless their hearts. Will keep an eye out for any strays. Noticed yesterday there's a lot of woods along the river that runs through Vernon. At least that's a source of water and shelter from the sun for stray dogs. Mention the town of Vernon as that the nearest town and a friend of mine who is on Facebook says the Vernon FB page mentioned a number of dogs that disappeared the same day Molly did due to the severe storms."

Welcome home Molly❤️
