Im joining the bandwagon - you can blame K9 & Leaf K9
4th of July - It's challenging for many dogs & and handlers, too (it's me, im the handler)
So, as many posts will say , get in touch with your vet now, appointments may be weeks out, and if your dog needs medication, dont wait
IN ADDITION - Be prepared
π΄ Have an exercise plan for the day. If you use a doggie daycare and they're open, that can be a great option
βͺοΈ Ensure tags and microchip have current information, and this is my plea. Get Your Dog Microchipped
π΅ I know you dont want to think about it, but make your lost poster now. Include a current high-quality photo of your dog now (not their 4 years ago puppy headshot) - and also take a current photo of you and your dog together in case you need to proove ownership
π₯ If you have the luxury of yard, check for fence gaps, weak spots, and dig holes and make repairs
β¬οΈ Training - Did you know you can train your dog to be less stressed about fireworks? Need help, that's what I'm here for
π¦ Have fun - there's many ways to enjoy the holiday with your dog, and while it can be stressful don't allow others to steal your joy
