Winston’s first field trip today was to the bank where we had to sit in a small room and talk to a nice bloke .
Then Tsguawas nursery to see some lovely friends .
He did amazing working through some greats and had NO fearful barking reactions to anyone.

Remember the cutest girl, Whiskey, a recent board and train dog at WDK? Look at this performance feedback we received from her mom. Her goal was to be able to take Whiskey on outings and NOT have her chase prey, chase other dogs or scare people. She is rocking it ! Whiskey and her mom can now enjoy outside time together without the worry … without the anxiety… pure enjoyment of our PNW outdoors 🌲 ☀️ We love to see these success stories 😀 A well trained dog is a happy dog!

Winston arrived on Sunday for Board and Train. As you can see his main issue is Reactivity which he’s in a constant state like this out in public as well as at home if someone comes over. I was there for an assessment for about 40 minutes and it was this non stop .
These videos give you an idea of how scary he comes across. And again not a good state of mind for him to be in all the time . I’m working slowly with him but still establishing the rules , boundaries and structure. We will be working on building his confidence as all this silly behavior is fear based . But he really need guidance and to learn no along with staying in his bubble .

Havin some fun with our new Board and Train .Her name is Whisky not Ghost.
And she’s a lovely sweet girl .
But …..her main issue for her mum is she has Absolutely NO recall .
Her mum loves to go for hikes , and to a place that’s a massive off leash dog park called 1000 acres which I use to go to back in the day . It’s literally is a thousand acres so if you go early it’s a great place to let you dogs off leash to run .
But it stressed me out because I had solid recall with my dog it was the other dogs you had to worry about and the owners too . Nuff said
Anyway if Whisky saw any kind of wildlife or another dog ahead she was gone .
If I saw her running towards me and my dog I would be totally in protective mode with my dog . She wants to play but I don’t know that .
All I see is a bloody big wolf dog running towards me that looks and acts feral 😳😬
So we are getting down to all the basics .
We have lots of wild bunny’s hopping about around here , chickens, goats fenced in land and our own trail to really work her recall and heel past anything. This will be a fun challenge but very rewarding to be able to give her mum more freedom to enjoy her knowing she can keep her under control by using the Ecollar .
