Shelly is a third generation equestrian with over 25 years experience as a high level competitive rider and professional trainer. Shelly's experience includes a successful junior career, including the 1982 ASPCA Maclay Regional Medal Finals Championship; a stellar professional competitive career, including a top ten finish in the 1989 West Coast World Cup standings. With a family horse heritage spanning three generations, Shelly's experience and commitment to the sport continues to prove itself time and again, her talent and work ethic consistently bring her and her students to championships up and down the coast.

Jaime Gomez is a dedicated show groom for Bayview Farm and a long-standing member of the Pacific Northwest hunter jumper community. He has spent years caring for horses and supporting riders, always putting the needs of others first. Last weekend, Jaime experienced a major medical episode while working at a horse show—he was hospitalized and almost died. As the primary wage earner for his family, Jaime’s absence from work has created a financial strain, making it difficult for his loved ones to manage daily expenses and care for their needs.

The funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward covering Jaime’s medical bills and supporting his family during this challenging time. With Jaime unable to work, your generosity will help ensure his family can continue to pay for essentials like food, housing, and other daily costs. ISO: Legacy Hunters & Jumpers is seeking an experienced instructor to lead and grow one of the Seattle area’s largest and longest running Hunter/Jumper lesson programs. Our USHJA Recognized Riding Academy is designed to give the aspiring equestrian a solid foundation in hunter/jumper riding to help them achieve their goals – whether that’s competing at a high level or riding for leisure. Legacy maintains a herd of safe and high-quality lesson horses and 20+ regular students. This position would be responsible for maintaining exemplary care of Legacy’s lesson horses and instruction of all Riding Academy students.
