We get asked ALL the time how much grooming a Siberian needs.

With their long, fluffy coats, most people expect matting to be a big issue if you’re not constantly brushing—and it definitely can be.

But honestly, it hasn’t been a problem for us since we started using NuVet.

I’m not trying to sound like a salesperson here… but I really can’t say enough good things about it.

We buy four jars at a time, and when I open the last one, I order four more. That’s just our routine now.

Since we started using it in November 2021, the only times we’ve dealt with mats have been:

- when we bring in a new cat
- when we slack off and forget how important consistency is (we’re reminded pretty quickly 😅)
- or when we get busy and don’t reorder in time

Today I was reminded again how freaking magical the results feel… especially with a new cat who came in with mats!

One of our kittens (Kishmish) went home on Friday, and her owner sent me this video 💛
Slow introductions, baby gate in place.
Neo (almost 6) is very interested.
She’s totally fine with him…
as long as he doesn’t move. 😂

(Sadly, they didn’t catch the moment she hissed and he ran away from his tiny new sister.)

Fire drills for cats!!! (should work for dogs too!)

This is so smart! This woman trained her cats to run outside into their catio when they hear the smoke detectors going off!

The video goes into detail about how she did it and she points out that you could also train them to run to their carriers if you don’t have a catio

This is a post I’ve put off writing for a long time — because if we had our way, Nezabudka and Harley would be staying with us forever. 🤍

But loving them well means protecting their peace as they transition out of our breeding program. They are deeply bonded and will be placed together, in a home chosen thoughtfully and with their well-being at heart.
