It's grilling season. What's for super? We raised our animals with no hormones or antibiotics and had them processed at People's Meat in Stevens Point. Located in Wisconsin Rapids. Message me for a pickup time.

Farm At The 40 welcomes Francis and Leo (white spot on forehead and loud). These jesey bull calves are ten days old. The pigs are excited to have neighbors.

Turner's ride to People's Meat Market was successful on Thursday, February 20th. Always bittersweet after 18 months of raising him from a bottle calf to full maturity.

Ewes always pick the coldest time of year to have their lambs. Sophia had triplets starting last night around 9 pm. One lamb froze during birth. First girl Susie Q came out wet and weak, second girl Suzanne is strong, nursing, and doing well. Tony added an extra heat lamp and a plastic curtain to cover the entrance to keep the heat in. Tony then brought Suzy Q to the basement to dry her off and warm her up. Suzy Q was standing on her own this morning but still weak. Sophia has rejected to feed Suzy Q (Tony made the biggest mistake by separating her last night from Sophia, but she would of froze otherwise). Suzy Q is on her way to college, watch out UWSP there is a new kid in town! Hoping for the best with the cold temperatures the next few days.

Two Hereford/ Hampshire Pigs - September 18

Processing is usually a two week turn around from butcher date. I will post availability and prices when meat is received.

Good to the last drop. Made some pizza sauce from the garden tomatoes I brought in to ripen. Still holding strong about not buying more jars, so this is why the variety of jar sizes.

The garden is now completely harvested and ready for the clean up crew next weekend. The cows, lambs, and chickens are patiently waiting! Today was the harvesting of the pumpkins patch.

8 half pints of enchilada sauce made today. Tomatoes still turning, trying not to buy more jars. Just an outstanding growing season.
