Been quite sometime since my daughter or I have posted. Reinsong Paints & Quarter Horses is in a transition stage. No more babies and I am out of horses all together. This doesn't mean I won't still be talking horse and looking... but for now my physical limitations just don't allow for me to train, ride or do much of anything. Darn old knees. :)

Here we are, the day after Thanksgiving... that day some of us dread and others look forward to... Black Friday is upon us... Like the Grinch who tried to stop Christmas, I would love to be able to stop Blk Friday. I was curious one year and ventured out with family, just to see what this day was truly all about. This is what I found... People pushing & shoving, banging their shopping carts into other folks like it was a game of "Bumper Carts". I saw mothers flying thru stores to get that last toy, losing their children to the frenzy and later sobbing "Boo-hoo... I only turned my back for a second and they were gone." I observed 2 little old "Grandmotherly" ladies morph into wicked witches and fight over a bra. (Really ladies? Was it really worth fighting over?) I saw people swipe items from other folks shopping carts, push people out of the checkout lines, etc. NEVER EVER again will I venture into our local Walmart, much less the big city malls, on this day of pure madness. Seriously retailers, if you can sell those PS4's, XBoxes, TV's, etc that cheap on Black Friday and still show a profit, then you're being greedy the other 364 days. Where did the tru meaning of Christmas go? When did you all or most of you, lose sight of Christ and take up breaking bread with the Devil himself? Shame on us all..................

Well friends, I am getting terrible at keeping this page updated. I apologize for that. We came into 2013 celebrating that this would be a year with no babies! Yea! That meant we were going to KY in June to see Clinton Anderson again, we were going to take the horses and do some weekend trail riding & camping, etc. Then that darn rabbit died crossing the road... Yup, if you haven't heard, my daughter & son-in-law have decided to increase our family. We have a little "Peanut" due to arrive on Oct. 28th. We didn't get our baby free year, but that's okay. Grandma can't wait to take Peanut shopping for her/his boots & saddle. (I'd say pony too but Mommy put her foot down and says, NO PONY, small QH or Paint.)

Bought this set used, but no longer have an English horse, so set needs to go. Note: Bit, saddle pad & saddle bag do not...

fb asked Reinsong Paints & Quarter Horses, "How's it going?" Well friends, it's been awhile since either I or LeaAnn have done an update, so thought I'd get it done.
We've sold a few horses over the past year. The last being little Hondo. Would love to keep them all, but it just isn't practical. No babies this year for Reinsong. Studs are all gone and the 1 stud c**t we have will be gelded soon. He won't be a year old until Aug., but best to get it done & over with.
The horses are out on grass for now. Will still need to buy some more hay, so we don't over graze the Spring pastures.
We do have some youngstock that will need to be worked this Summer, but not sure how we're going to accomplish this yet. For those who haven't heard, LeaAnn & Nick are expecting their first baby this coming Oct., (yes... I'm gonna be a Granny) so LeaAnn won't be doing much training or any riding this year. I tore my ACL about a month ago and will be having surgery later this year, so my riding will be limited. I will still be able to do the ground work, as long as I wear my brace. Guess to sum it all up in a nutshell, we're gonna take it slow & easy this year. I will be out on the trails at least once this Summer, so keep an eye out for the gray ol' mare screaming bloody murder as her horse is running away with her. LOL!!!! Just kidding....
Have a Happy Spring our friends and we'll see you all soon!!!!

Looking forward to Spring! Was a tad cold loading & hauling hay early this morning. Like a lot of folks I know, the hay supply is getting low and the hay prices are still terribly high... I know it cost to put up hay, but come on folks, $8 - $10 for a 40-50 # bale of hay. $130-$140 for 800 # round bale of grass. Get real and tell us again how you're not gouging the prices.

Will be getting updated photo's of all for sale horses tomorrow!!!
