Little Sunny is doing great and improving every day! 🐾💙

This past week, we started introducing his off-leash training and have been increasing his off-site, real-world training to help him take everything he’s learned and apply it in new environments with more distractions.

We’re so proud of the progress this little guy continues to make! Building reliability, confidence, and good decision-making one day at a time. 💪🐶

🐾 Look who’s back! Miss Mocha! 🐾

We only get this sweet girl for a couple of days, but we’re always so happy to welcome our previously trained Ruff Pups back for a boarding stay. 💙

There’s something extra special about getting to see our graduates again, reinforce all those good habits, and enjoy a little quality time together.

🐾 Guess what?! We did it again! 🐾

We’ve officially welcomed another foster + train from the Napa County Animal Shelter into the Ruff Pup family, and we’re so excited to introduce you to BRUCE! 💙

Bruce is a 2-year-old Shepherd/Lab mix… of some kind 😂 who has been waiting at the shelter for quite a while. Staff and volunteers have shared that Bruce is an extremely strong, powerful boy, which can make him difficult to handle—especially on leash.

That’s where we come in. 💪🐶

During his time with us, we’ll be focusing heavily on solid leash manners, impulse control, engagement, and learning how to channel all that strength and enthusiasm into better choices.

Our goal is to help Bruce become a more enjoyable, manageable companion and give him the skills he needs to be the perfect addition to someone’s household. 🏡❤️

We can’t wait to share his progress with you. Welcome to Ruff Pup, Bruce! 🐾

🐾 Meet Ruth, our newest Ruff Pup trainee! 🐾

Ruth is a young English Setter who’ll be staying with us for the next couple of weeks for training. 💙

We’re excited to get to know this sweet girl, help her build some new skills, and work on creating a strong foundation of clear communication, confidence, and good manners.

Dolly definitely said it best: “The fear of losing can’t keep you out of the game.” ❤️

Briggs is still waiting for his forever family to find him. 🐾

But right now, just as importantly, Briggs needs a foster home—a safe, loving place to land while we continue searching for the family that will ultimately call him their own.

Fostering may be temporary, but for a dog like Briggs, it can mean absolutely everything. It gives him stability, love, and the chance to keep moving forward while his forever home is out there looking for him.

We’re officially a week and a half into Sunny’s Board & Train, and we’re so proud of the progress he’s making! 🐾💙

Sunny is starting to settle in, become more clear-minded, and follow through with the cues we’re asking of him. We’re seeing more focus, better engagement, and a dog who is beginning to slow down and think through what’s being asked.

There’s still plenty of work ahead, but that’s what the process is all about. We can’t wait to see how much Sunny continues to learn and grow during the rest of his stay with us! 💪🐶
