Cinnamon Swirl and Coffee Cake didn’t have to be told twice that it was their time to go home! Monkey is just about as sweet as can be 🥹 He’s a 6 month old sleek brown tabby who wants nothing but love.

Despite several vet checks for his eyes, all of his tests and labs came back normal for any illness — he may have just been born as a unique little guy.

Monkey will likely be partially blind for life, but he doesn’t let that stop him from anything. He’s playful, has the curiosity of a kitten, and above all is SUPER affectionate. If he could be carried and snuggled on your shoulder 24/7, that’d be his happy place!

Sending all the well wishes to Cleo and her new best friend, because she’s been ADOPTED! Cleo went home a few days ago and the adjustment is going very well so far. This stunningly beautiful and sweet dog deserved the best, and she found her best fit through the adoption counseling process here at WAHS.

Thank you to her adopters for giving Cleo the family she needed and waited for. Congratulations! 🤍🩵

July 10th is National Kitten Day, and we’re celebrating several of the cuties being cared for at WAHS. Some are adoptable now while others are in foster and not quite ready yet, but they all deserve their time in the spotlight ✨

Kitten Day is an opportunity to recognize the joy that little felines can bring into our lives — and also encourage their adoptions 🫶 Adopting a spayed/neutered kitten from a shelter or rescue not only helps the little one who found a home; it also helps reduce the amount of homeless kittens born into the cycle of overpopulation suffering each year.

If you’re considering starting the kitten adoption journey, or supporting kitten rescue through monetary contributions, now is the time! 🐾

It was Tongue Out Tuesday with the best boys: Atlas and Chakra 😎

Chakra’s gotten a LOT of interest in the last few days, but Atlas has only had a small handful of apps/visits since his arrival back in April. Can we get him an extra boost to find some potential family matches? 🤞🏼

While Atlas is still working on some training, he has come a long way, he’s so outgoing, and he’s eager to please. Atlas is waiting for that special person or family to come along, give him a chance, and let him show his companionship qualities.
