And just like that, we’re back in the show ring! We are so proud of Sister for her progress this past weekend at the GSWEC! This mare was focused, rideable, and increasingly relaxed in a busy show environment after being out of the competition arena for more than three years. UDJC put on a fantastic and fun show and we are already looking forward to the next one! A huge thank you goes out to our village at home for helping us get back to showing ❤️

What a treat! We don’t get many snow days in central Texas, so it’s always lovely to get a few inches. ❄️ ⛄️ The horses are happy to romp in the snow and the humans are happy to stay cozy inside, once barn chores are all done, of course! 😀

While 2024 was not the year we wanted, some years are for recovering, renewing, rebuilding, and growing. 2024 was a year to remember that success is rarely measured in blue ribbons and fun social media posts, but more frequently in hard work, dedication, and a refusal to throw in the towel, even when times are at their toughest.
Not only did Blue Moon survive 2024, but we’ve managed to accomplish a lot at our home base. We’ve improved and upgraded our arena, equipment, property and living areas for our horses, as well as continued to grow through training and lessons. We’ve renovated our beautiful rental house on property and even upgraded our hauling rig for more reliable transport. Not only have we come a long way in a year, but we’ve got more projects in the works and are hoping for a fruitful and formative 2025. Happy new year-may your 2025 be an improvement on 2024!
