Banks may not know who Dad is this Father’s Day, but apparently neither does his DNA. 🤣

This tiny peanut came back as 13 different breeds. At this point, we’re less concerned about finding his father and more concerned about locating the entire village that helped create him.

Chihuahua, Beagle, Pomeranian, Yorkie, Poodle, Foxhound, Bloodhound… little man is basically the dog version of a potluck dinner.

Honestly, Banks isn’t a mixed breed—he’s a canine buffet. A little bit of everything and 100% adorable. 🥜❤️ And the sweetest cuddle bug ever!

Foster glow-up! ✨

Jasper (now Gansey) came to see me yesterday, and apparently sitting still was not on his agenda. He was so wiggly and happy that getting a picture took a whole lot of finagling and approximately 47 attempts. Which meant even more treats 😂

But look at this handsome guy! Clearly, he’s settled into the good life. His moms absolutely adore him (which comes as a surprise to exactly no one), and seeing him so loved, spoiled, and thriving makes my heart incredibly happy. ❤️

Happy National Rescue Dog Day to the five dogs who somehow managed to completely take over our house, our hearts, our furniture, and every ounce of personal space we once had. ❤️🐾

And to the amazing foster dogs who have come through our home the last couple of years… thank you for letting us be part of your journey. Every single one left paw prints on our hearts (and probably fur on every black article of clothing we own). Watching scared, goofy, chaotic, sweet dogs learn what love and safety look like has been one of the greatest honors.

Rescue dogs may come with a little baggage… but honestly so do we, so it works out beautifully. 🤷‍♀️😂

We also miss all of our wonderful customers and their adorable four-legged family members so much. One of the best parts of our business was getting to meet your amazing pups, hear their stories, spoil them a little, and love them like extended family.

So in honor of National Rescue Dog Day, PLEASE spam the comments with pictures of your rescue babies, foster fails, old souls, tiny gremlins, giant couch hogs, and all the perfectly imperfect dogs who made your life better. We want to see them all. 🐶❤️

Today our beloved undercover shop dog Riley turns 15 🥹💛

While he wasn’t often hanging out in the store, many of you have come to know and love him from afar over the years through photos, stories, foster updates, and his occasional surprise appearances. Before Coastal Paws became what it is today, it was just Riley and me. Since then, he’s helped welcome countless fosters and new siblings into our home with so much patience, gentleness, and love.

He may not have officially clocked many hours at the shop, but he’s been the heart behind all of it from the very beginning.

Happy Golden Birthday to the sweetest boy and the very best sidekick. Here’s to extra treats, extra naps, and all the love today, buddy. 🐾✨
