Another horribly sad situation…. Sharing in case there’s someone wanting to take on a project or ideally two? (At least initially it will be better to keep in pairs.)
We do not have them and can’t really answer any questions but if seriously interested in HELPING we can get you in touch!
They weigh about 15 or so pounds.

We have been asked to help a woman with dementia in finding placement for her many small dogs. These precious souls are scared and need a place to decompress and learn to trust.

Meet Tuck – Ready to Break Free and Explore Life With You!

Tuck is an energetic, outdoorsy German Shepherd mix who’s been waiting 3.5 years at the Milo Sanctuary for his forever person. That’s a long time for a good boy like him—but he hasn’t given up hope. At 8 years old, he still has plenty of pep in his step and a deep desire for adventure.

Tuck isn’t one to lounge on the couch binge-watching TV. He’s craving hikes, beach days, trail runs, and open skies. He’s curious, alert, and totally in his element outdoors. While he’s not quite mastered the art of fetch yet (he’d rather you retrieve the ball), he’s eager to engage and have fun by your side.

Tuck is dog-selective, however currently leaves with another GS mix.

This handsome boy is food-motivated, smart, and ready to bond deeply with the right human. After years of waiting, he deserves someone who sees how special he really is.

Meet Melody – A Spirited Sweetheart Looking for Her Person!

Melody is a beautiful, spunky girl bursting with personality and affection. At 9 years young, she still has the playful energy of a dog half her age and a heart that’s ready to bond deeply with her person.

What breaks our hearts most is that Melody has spent 6 of her 9 years in a shelter. That’s two-thirds of her life without a home to call her own. But through it all, she’s remained affectionate, optimistic, and eager for love.

She adores being with people—especially teens and adults—and would thrive in a home where she’s the center of attention. Melody is smart, eager to please, and highly treat motivated. She knows her commands and listens well with guidance.

She’ll do best as your one-and-only dog in a home with no small animals, and would love a yard to romp in or a trail to explore with her human by her side. Melody’s ideal home has a tall, secure fence (she’s a bit of an escape artist!) and someone who’s around most of the time—because what she wants most is to be with you.
