A Horse tail from WSR: On saturday night Fabian and Justin went up to the back country to feed the herd. They reported that the herd was extremely active. they might have been just playing or something else might be going on. sunday morning about 7am i was on my back porch enjoying my coffee when i heard jessica the mule baying from the back country and she did not stop so i hustle up the hill. and found them all running in a tight circle. as i drove up they came over to the pick-up and circled it. still unsure of what the problem was. i got out and just started talking to them in about 15 minutes they had calmed down a lot. i knew that they were not going to stay in the back country. as i drove down thinking they would follow. how was i going to protect the 100 tiger cubs in camp if the herd bolted for the barn . ken pederson and i positioned ourselfs along there travel route and waited and waited no horse. great they stayed put. about 10am here they come but not at a full run but a slow nose to tail trail line with shady and Jewel up front.
they got up to the gillwell field the broke a little as that is were TCS sets up most of there program. they turned and went right to the barn. the kids loved the parade of horses.what happened in the back country who knows i think the horse heard all of the tigers having so much fun that they knew it was time to get to the barn and get ready for summer. all you wranglers come on up for the may 14th work weekend the horses are waiting for you at the barn
