❤️🐾 Help Us Find Her Family! 🐾❤️

We had an unexpected visitor outside Western Veterinary Clinic this weekend! This sweet female cat was found near our clinic, and unfortunately she does not have a microchip to help us locate her family.

We know someone may be missing her, so we’d love to get the word out and reunite her with her people. 🏡🐱

If you recognize her or believe she may be yours, please contact the clinic. Proof of ownership or identifying information will be requested.

Please share, especially with friends and family in the Williston area. Every share helps! 💕

🐾 Important Vaccine Update! 🐾
Beginning November 1, Western Veterinary Clinic will be transitioning to a new combination vaccine that includes Distemper + Parvo + Lepto, all in one vaccine!
Leptospirosis (Lepto) is now considered a core vaccine for all dogs under updated AAHA guidelines.
If your dog has never received Lepto, no worries! We’ll simply transition them into the new combination vaccine. Puppies will need 2 doses containing Lepto after 12 weeks of age, so some puppies may need one additional booster depending on where they are in their vaccine series.
Our goal is simple: better protection while keeping your dog’s vaccine schedule as easy as possible. 🐶💙
Have questions about what this means for your dog? Give us a call or ask us at your next visit!

🐾 ONE SHOT. 365 DAYS OF FLEA & TICK PROTECTION.
Hunting dogs and cattle dogs don’t get the winter off and neither do ticks. Even when temperatures drop, ticks can remain protected down in large animal fur, grass, brush, leaf litter, and other sheltered areas where working dogs spend their time.
Bravecto Quantum® provides 365 days of flea and tick protection with one injection, administered by your veterinarian. That means no monthly doses to remember and year-round protection for the dogs that are always on the go.
🦆 Hunting dogs
🐄 Cattle & ranch dogs
❄️ Winter exposure
🕷️ Year-round flea & tick protection
Ask Western Veterinary Clinic about Bravecto Quantum® and help keep your working dog protected all year long.
Bravecto Quantum is for subcutaneous use in dogs. Ask your veterinarian whether it is appropriate for your dog.

🚨 WORLD RABIES DAY | SEPTEMBER 28 🚨
Rabies is not a disease of the past and this year, the warning hits especially close to home.
The CDC recently issued a national health advisory following increases in animal rabies activity and associated human exposures across the United States. Bats remain an especially important concern: in the U.S., contact with infected bats is the leading cause of human rabies deaths.
This year’s World Rabies Day theme is “Stronger Together.” It’s a reminder that protecting our community takes all of us as pet owners, veterinarians, healthcare professionals, public health agencies, families, and neighbors.
🌎 “Almost half of the annual victims of rabies are children.”
Current World Health Organization data estimate that 40% of human rabies deaths worldwide occur in children under age 15. That is a powerful reminder of why education and prevention matter.
🦇 TAKE RABIES SERIOUSLY.
* Never handle bats or other wildlife, even if they appear injured or harmless.
* Keep dogs, cats, and ferrets current on their rabies vaccinations.
* Keep pets away from wildlife.
* If you or your pet are bitten, scratched, or may have had contact with a bat or other potentially rabid animal, act immediately.
* Wash bites and scratches thoroughly with soap and water for at least 15 minutes and contact a healthcare provider, veterinarian, or public health authority promptly.
Rabies is almost always fatal once symptoms begin, but it is preventable when exposure is recognized and appropriate care is received in time.
Awareness protects people. Vaccination protects pets. Working together protects our entire community.
We are STRONGER TOGETHER. ❤️

💜 Veterinary Professional Su***de Prevention Awareness 💜
Behind every appointment, every answered phone call, every surgery, every emergency, and every pet sent home feeling better is a team of people who care deeply.
Veterinary medicine is incredibly rewarding, but it can also carry significant emotional weight. Compassion fatigue, difficult cases, long days, financial pressures, and the heartbreak that sometimes comes with caring for animals can take a toll.
We’re helping raise awareness about mental health and su***de prevention within the veterinary profession. We also want to remind our clients that kindness matters. A little patience on a busy day, a kind word, or a simple “thank you” can mean more than you may ever know.
At Western Veterinary Clinic, we believe caring for animals also means caring for the people who dedicate their lives to them. 💜🐾
If you or someone you know is struggling, help is available. In the U.S., call or text 988 for the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline.
Kind clients. Stronger teams. Brighter tomorrows.

💙We Will Never Forget 💙
Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to honor the extraordinary courage of the first responders who answered the call.
At Western Veterinary Clinic, we also want to remember some of the four-legged heroes of that day. 🐾
Hundreds of search-and-rescue dogs and their handlers worked tirelessly at Ground Zero and other affected sites—searching through debris, helping locate survivors and victims, and providing comfort during an unimaginable time.
They didn't understand the magnitude of what had happened. They simply knew they had a job to do—and they did it with courage, loyalty, and unwavering trust in the people beside them.
Today, we remember every life lost, every hero who served, and every paw that helped bring hope in the darkest of days.
September 11, 2001 — Never Forget 🐾💙
