Tomorrow marks the 14 year mark since Bakken Mobile Veterinary was started. During that time we’ve had many terrific assistants and even more terrific clients. I (Dr Stenson) even met a wonderful gal -while seeing her cats - who became my wife. Thanks to all of you for being involved in one way or another. Although some days have been better than others all in all it’s been a great experience😊.

Tick season is definitely in full swing, with many reported sightings. With the upcoming warm weather forecast dogs or cats will be at risk, especially those in longer grass in rural areas. We have a good supply of bravecto on hand.

We ate our first lunch(and a very good one at that) at the 29 mile corner when we worked there today.

We’ve had at least one tick sighting in the last few days. We’ll carry bravecto again this year- a chewable pill that lasts for 12 weeks in adult dogs and one month in puppies. We also have a topical product that lasts for 12 weeks for cats. It kills ticks very quickly after they attach and is safe for the vast majority of dogs(a history of seizures is the main contraindication).

We’ve gotten off to an interesting start so far today having seen a hyena and a giraffe already.
