I apologize to everyone.

I didn’t expect to be “celebrating” my 30 years in Williamsville stuck at home with fractured ribs, pleural effusion, & pneumonia.

And, due to pain meds & sleeping alot since this happened Dec 21, I completely forgot to post on line that the clinic would be closed at least through mid to late January 2026 (if all goes well & no more complications).

I’m deeply apologetic that I couldn’t be there for you & your pets. Hopefully I’ll be back soon 🙏💜

Thank you for your understanding 🥰

PS. The clinic will be closed any time there is inclement weather since I now don’t have my wonderful husband to back me up. 😢

The clinic remains operational, albeit on an appointment-only basis for all services. Please leave a message if you encounter voicemail when calling, and it will be returned at the earliest opportunity.

Due to the challenges of maintaining my home and yard independently while working full-time, I have transitioned to part-time hours. I extend my gratitude to clients who have generously offered assistance.

As I embark on this new chapter, I am undertaking a comprehensive decluttering of my residence, commencing with the kitchen. If you have a requirement or desire for any kitchen-related items, kindly contact me. I possess an extensive array of kitchen gadgets, dishes, glasses, vases, cookware, and Tupperware, as well as refrigerators suitable for garage or basement use.

Thanks once again for the support & well wishes.

Sincerely,
M. Gaut DVM

I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation to everyone who offered prayers and well wishes during my husband's brave fight this past year against stage 4 Angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma. Gary participated in clinical trials at Barnes in St. Louis, demonstrating remarkable resilience until his body could no longer cope. He passed away on June 30, 2025, at the age of 74.

Many of you have had the opportunity to meet Gary over the years as he assisted me at the clinic, lending a hand in various capacities.

Gary took great pleasure in meeting everyone and contributing to the care of your pets.

Due to personal matters that require my attention, the clinic will operate on an appointment-only basis for all services. Please leave a message, and I will return your call as I check in at the clinic.

Thank you for your patience & understanding.

Bird flu is very confusing & constantly morphing currently.

Although we usually recommend raw or freeze dried raw food as the best minimally processed food for your cat, a Florida veterinarian is currently recommending to discontinue feeding raw or freeze dried raw chicken to your cats, due to increase of bird flu incidents in house pet cats. (This came from Jackson Galaxy FB post today. ).

I currently will continue my already purchased freeze dried raw chicken products but may substitute some other protein when I run out.

Please keep cats strictly indoors or in a catio if they need to go outside, to minimize the exposure to any wild birds (especially dead or ill birds). Please contact the proper authorities if you find any unusual dead bird incidents.

Stay safe, warm & healthy 🙏💜

We appreciate all the concerns & understanding during this difficult time. Apologies for our limited hours due to serious family medical conditions.

Hours are strictly by appointment for all services including exams, vaccines, labs, prescription or medications pickups, etc. Please call ahead & leave a message if you get the answering machine & your call will be returned as soon as possible. 217-566-3579

Any pet emergencies will need to go to the Animal Emergency Clinic of Springfield or one of the urgent care facilities.

Currently all procedures requiring anesthesia (including surgeries), hospitalization or boarding are temporarily suspended until further notice.

We are also currently closed the second & fourth Saturdays of each month to allow for more family care.

We appreciate all of our clients & thank everyone for their well wishes & prayers.

🙏💜
