I believe we have run outta pregnant does! Last evening the last doe had a large beautiful little buck. Bringing the total number of babies born, in less than 3 weeks, to 57. We lost 3 babies…so we have 54 little stinkers to find homes for before the end of the year.

In the last 2 months I have lost a cousin and this morning got the news of the passing of that cousins younger brother.

I gained 56 baby goats that were absolutely not the plan. 10 of which are bottle babies now. I will most likely have double that many bottle babies within the next couple weeks.

Gained a large number of stray cats from the desertion of the ranch across the way. With those strays came 2 litters of kittens. One that found its way under my house. I am currently feeding around 30 # of dry food per week.

Suspect I have Merricks in one of my laying hen coops.

Gained a herd of Javelina that has decided that roughing up my hens and destroying everything, including the things on my front porch, is a good idea.

Found out the hard way yesterday that I have a yellow hornets nest in a small vent right at my back door. FYI: Duct tape works wonders when you’re alone and can’t remove the stinger from your back!

Finally got the farm property closed and rid of the vampire that almost stole my soul. He did take every ounce of anything good in my life over the last decade. I am looking forward to getting the broken ankle and broken teeth fixed for which he gifted me.
I feel like I have shed my skin and I am ready for what will mostly likely be the last decade of my life!

Bring it on baby…..

Wow what the last 60 days have brought……
Lost 2 cousins just weeks a part
So far 56 babies have been born on the farm. Babies that were in no way planned.

Now have 10 bottles babies and will most likely have at least 5-10 more over the course of a couple weeks.

Found out one own of my hens may have Merricks disease. Explains why I haven’t been able to figure out why they are up and dying so quickly.

Inherited so many stray cats from the desertion of the farm across the way. Then realizing the noises under the house is a mama kitty with at least 5 babies. 5 babies to add to the 3 in the house from a stray. Seriously have no idea how many cats I am feeding but it is around 30+ lbs of dry food a week.

Found out the hard way that the gigantic yellow hornets had built a nest in a little vent at the back door.

Closed in the farm property.

I am so exhausted I am not sure which way is up and I am not sure right now if I care!
I feel like the old Dunkin’ Donuts commercial……”I gotta make the donuts/I already made the donuts”.

Release the Kraken. I really need a barn…..8 bottle babies in the house with 19, almost ready for outside, chicks and 3 dogs.

Well I have 38 babies on the ground and 8 bottle babies already. I’ll never take another vacation when there is any boys...

Well I have 38 babies on the ground and 8 bottle babies already. I’ll never take another vacation when there is any boys that can stick their wick in a girl….especially Doelings. It is rare for first timers to have triplets. I have had 4 triplets and a set of quads from first time fresheners. It is udder chaos here on the farm!

This little speckled Doelings is my favorite!

My heart is broken today. Little Atti was coming out of the first scare but took a turn for the worst around noon today. She died listening to my heartbeat. The one place she seem to settle and find comfort. Fly high little one.
