Whiting Veterinary Clinic is so happy to announce the welcome of Dr. Willems back to the Whiting community!

Dr. Willems is an excellent clinician, a wonderful person, and an incredible addition to our team. We’re thrilled to have her helping us care for our patients and families, allowing us to accommodate even more members of the Whiting community!

What makes Dr. Willems such a special fit for our clinic goes beyond her clinical skills. She loves the Whiting community just as much as Dr. Leo does, and if you know Dr. Leo, you know just how much that means!

At Whiting Veterinary Clinic, we believe caring for a community goes far beyond the exam room. It’s about building relationships, earning trust, showing up for one another, and treating every patient like family. Having someone who shares those same values makes this reunion even more special, and we wouldn’t have it any other way!

Dr. Willems will be joining us for a limited number of shifts for now, but we’re so excited to have her back and look forward to the extra opportunities this brings for our patients and their families!

Please join us in giving Dr. Willems a big, warm welcome back! We’re so grateful to have her alongside Dr. Leo and are excited to continue growing our Whiting Veterinary Clinic family while providing the compassionate, personalized care our community deserves.

Welcome back, Dr. Willems!

Good morning Whiting!!

Today, we want to give a special shoutout to Jonah! You may have already had the pleasure of meeting him, but if you haven’t, you’ll find him behind our front desk supervising and running security with our house cat a few days a week!

He comes to every shift with energy, excitement, and a positive attitude that lights up a room! Whether he’s talking University of Kentucky basketball, cheering on his Phillies, or discussing just about any sport, Jonah’s charm and enthusiasm is impossible to miss!

But what makes Jonah so special goes far beyond his love of sports. Jonah faces medical challenges that most of us can’t begin to imagine, yet he continues to show up with a smile, a desire to be part of the team, and a spirit that reminds us what really matters.

Jonah’s story is one of resilience, love, and purpose. His family created Jonah’s Ark Animal Rescue with a beautiful mission: to give hope to animals in need while creating meaningful connections between animals and individuals with special needs. Through Jonah’s incredible connection with animals, his family has witnessed firsthand the healing, joy, and love that can happen when two souls understand each other in ways words never could.

Everyone deserves a chance to shine, to feel valued, and to find their place in this world. Jonah reminds us of that every time he walks through our doors. We are so grateful to have Jonah as part of our team. He makes our workplace better. Jonah, thank you for being YOU, for sharing your love of sports with us, and for reminding us that a positive attitude and a big heart can make a bigger difference than you may ever realize. Dr. Leo wants you to know she is your biggest fan!

Please join us in showing Jonah some love in the comments! And if you haven’t heard of Jonah’s Ark Animal Rescue, take a moment to learn more about them and follow them on Facebook!

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of one of Manchester’s finest, Lynk, handled by Officer Steve Wendruff. Our thoughts are with Steve, his family, the Manchester Police Department, and the entire Manchester community.

It is with deep sadness that the Manchester Township Police Department announces the passing of retired K-9 Lynk, who passed away at home on September 25, 2026, following a brief illness.

K-9 Lynk was born in Hungary on February 24, 2014. He proudly served the Manchester Township Police Department from August 2015 through August 2025 alongside his longtime handler, Sgt. Steven Wendruff. As a dual-purpose patrol and narcotics detection K-9, Lynk served our community with distinction and assisted local, county, state, and federal law enforcement agencies throughout his career.

During his remarkable 10 years of service, Lynk assisted in investigations that resulted in the seizure of approximately $23 million in illegal drugs and narcotics and approximately $2 million in U.S. currency. These accomplishments reflect the extraordinary contribution Lynk and Sgt. Wendruff made to public safety in Manchester Township and throughout the surrounding communities.

Following his retirement, Lynk continued to live with Sgt. Wendruff and the Wendruff family, where he enjoyed the retirement he had earned after a decade of dedicated service.

The members of the Manchester Township Police Department mourn the loss of K-9 Lynk and extend our sincere gratitude to Sgt. Wendruff for his years of commitment, partnership, and service with Lynk to the residents of Manchester Township and the surrounding communities.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Sgt. Wendruff and the entire Wendruff family during this difficult time. K-9 Lynk’s faithful service, accomplishments, and legacy will forever remain a part of the history of the Manchester Township Police Department.

Chief of Police

By now, you all know Cassi, Liz, and Noah pretty well! They have been here through the growth, the craziness, the long days, the laughs, and everything in between.

But… we have a little surprise for you!

As our team has grown, trained, and evolved, we are so proud and excited to introduce you to the newest team members joining the Whiting Veterinary Clinic family!

Each one of these incredible people brings something special to our hospital, and I am truly grateful to have them here. So, let’s get to know them!

Shinayo: Veterinary Assistant
Shinayo is one of those people who is always smiling, always willing to help, and always up for a challenge! She is hardworking, bubbly, and never hesitates to jump in wherever she is needed. She takes on challenges head-on and consistently goes above and beyond. Shinayo has her sights set on becoming a veterinary technician, and she is learning incredibly quickly, truly ahead of the curve! We are so excited to watch her continue to grow.

Mea: Veterinary Assistant
Mea is such a lovely addition to our team. She is reliable, pleasant, and always willing to lend a hand. In addition to working as a veterinary assistant, Mea also has experience as a groomer. She is continually learning and growing and helps in all areas of the hospital. We are so happy to have her as part of our team!

Bill: Veterinary Technician
Bill brings a wealth of veterinary experience to Whiting Veterinary Clinic and has been an excellent addition to our team. He has fit in wonderfully and brings valuable skills and knowledge to the hospital. His experience is a tremendous asset and provides great support to Dr. Leo and the entire team. We are very fortunate to have him!

Hailey: Veterinary Technician
Hailey brings 3 years of veterinary technician experience to our team. She is an important part of our growing hospital family, and we are excited to have her skills and experience to help care for our patients and support our clients.

I truly believe that a veterinary hospital is only as strong as the people behind it. We are continuing to learn, grow, and work together every day to provide the best care we can for your pets.

Please join me in giving Shinayo, Mea, Bill, Danielle, and Hailey a warm welcome to the Whiting Veterinary Clinic family!

STAY TUNED NEXT WEEK as we introduce you to Emily and Kelly, our new receptionists!

Everyone, please join us in wishing Noah good luck and a wonderful school year!

As Noah heads back to school at Rowan University, we wanted to take a moment to recognize what a wonderful part of our team he has been this summer.

Noah is an undergraduate student with a dream of one day becoming a veterinarian, and we have truly enjoyed watching him learn, grow, and take steps toward that goal. He has been such a dedicated, hardworking, and dependable employee, and we are so thankful that he chose to spend his summer with us at Whiting Veterinary Clinic.

Noah brought so much to our practice, not only through his hard work, but through his positive attitude, willingness to learn, and genuine care for our patients. We have enjoyed his great sense of humor and it has been a pleasure having him as part of our team while watching his confidence and skills grow throughout the summer.

Don’t pull out the tissues just yet though, even though Noah won’t be here with us every day now that school is starting, you may still see him around the clinic on his days off when his availability allows! We’re so happy he’ll still be part of the Whiting Veterinary Clinic family.

We wanted to give everyone an update on Lenox, the sweet boy who needs bilateral TECA-BO surgery.

Lenox had his surgical consultation yesterday, and we are so happy to share that he is now scheduled for his first surgery! Because he needs both sides treated, Lenox will require two separate surgeries.

We are so thankful to every single person who has donated and shared his story. Your support is helping us get this boy the much-needed surgery he deserves!!

We are also incredibly grateful to say that we have officially reached HALF of our fundraising goal! That means we still have a ways to go, so please continue to share Lenox’s story and donate if you are able. Thank you for helping Lenox get one step closer to a happier life! ❤️🐾
