This week is International Assistance Dog Week and we would like to honor assistance dogs, those who raise and train them, and the veterinary teams who keep them healthy. Assistance dogs provide more than companionship; they provide freedom and confidence to the people they help. Post your assistance dog in the comments! We would love to see them!

Tomorrow is the first of the month and this is your friendly reminder to give your dog their heartworm prevention. If they are due for their six-month injection let’s get those appointments scheduled!

Does your dog have a favorite spot outside? So do those pesky mosquitoes! Make sure your best friend is protected against heartworms every 30 days or the 6 month injection for dogs. Enjoy Summer!

Please spread the word for this lost dog. Belle was LOST on July 25, 2025 in Smith County, TX 75792 near County Road 353, Winona, TX

Message from Owner: Belle has gone missing after she got spooked by the thunder this past Friday. She has never been a fan of bad weather. She was last seen in the front yard Friday, July 25, 2025, around 6pm. We are located on CR 353 in Winona, TX, between 271 and 16. If you have any information regarding her whereabouts, please contact us via text at or send a private message through Messenger. Belle is microchipped, and all information is updated from her last adventure.

Belle is an old lady now, approximately 15yrs old, and is greying around her face but her main color is white with brindle spots. A weird identifier is she has one extra long and always has since before we adopted her back in 2012. She is also spayed and has a small green line tattoo on her abdomen.

Please keep a look out for her, if you pray please say a prayer, especially for my daughter who is devastated and heatbroken. And if you have any possible info please let me know.

Thank you

Our Story

Whitehouse Veterinary Hospital is a full service hospital serving East Texas and the surrounding areas for small animal and exotic pet care. We take care of not only dogs and cats, but also birds, reptiles, rodents, primates and many other non traditional pets. We have faithfully served our clients and we are committed to providing quality veterinary care throughout the life of your pet. Our services and facilities are designed to assist in routine preventive care for young, healthy pets; early detection and treatment of disease as your pet ages; and complete medical and surgical care as necessary during his or her lifetime. For over 20 years we've helped pets from Tyler, Flint, Arp, Troup, Gresham, and the greater East Texas area.
