There are so many dogs and cats still looking for their forever home, and many of them will spend their Christmas in a chilly kennel while shelter staff try to make them as comfortable as possible. I’ve reached out to C.A.R.E and to Morristown Humane Society and will be accepting donations all December long to help keep their animals healthy and warm!

Below is a list of the BRAND of food they feed their animals (which is so important so they don’t get upset tummies!) as well as some sanitary items they requested. Your donations can be dropped off to me at the time of your appointment and are so greatly appreciated!

Donation Items:

• Blankets (any size!)

• Pedigree Dog food (kibble/canned)

• Purina Dog/Puppy/Cat/Kitten Food

• Fancy Feast Kitten WET Food

• Bleach

• Liquid laundry detergent

• Slip leads

• Gently used toys

This is an awesome opportunity to give back to the community and help make a shelter pet’s day a little brighter, it’s my hope that we all participate in some way!

PRICE INCREASE NOTICE !!

Hello everyone! After completing my one year anniversary as a certified groomer and coming up on the one year anniversary of Ruff Rider Grooming's opening, I wanted to make you aware that some services will be increasing in price. The price of some services will not change at all, while others may have a slight increase (most notably large dog grooms and doodle/poodle grooms, which take multiple hours and have been increasing in matting as of late). When I first opened I wanted to set fair pricing for a new groomer, but as I've become established and had discussions with other groomers, l feel that these price changes are in line with my services. I want to thank YOU for giving me the opportunity to learn and grow with your pup, and l am so grateful for all of you and your continued support!

Another issue I wanted to address is the increase in matting that l've experienced recently. It is my desire to always give dog owner's the option to create their own schedule, because I realize all too well how crazy life can be; however, moving forward I'm going to be requiring my doodle/poodle clients to stick to a 6-8 week schedule (10 at the most, and only if no matting has occurred) and am refusing service to severely matted dogs. This is not just for my benefit, but for your pup's! Matting is painful and is even more painful to shave; it is also harder on my grooming blades and equipment. Keeping up with regular grooming is vital to the well being of your dog, and I'm confident you'll see a huge difference in their health and happiness! This will be a requirement for all of my poodle/doodle parents. If you decide against keeping them on a schedule, I reserve the right to refuse grooming them. I hope that you can understand the reasons behind this decision, and I will be happy to discuss the benefits of regular grooming schedules.
