Welcome Dr. Madison Cogle!!! She will be joining us this June and we are so excited to have her as part of our team.

Dr. Madison Cogle (“Dr. Madi”) is a lifelong West Virginia native and has been local to the area since 2020. Dr. Madi is a graduate of Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine and a Master of Public Health.

She has worked as a veterinary assistant at Weston Veterinary Hospital before and through vet school prior to her return as a veterinarian. She resides in the Lost Creek area and farms beef cattle.

Outside of vet med, she loves baking, crafting, reading, and spending time outside. She also loves spending time with her family and loved ones (usually on the farm!), her rescue dog Birdie (Australian cattle dog mix), and her retired standardbred Ria.

We are seeing a large number of cats being infected with Panleukopenia - This is the cat version of Parvo. It is a highly contagious virus and can remain in the environment for a long time. If your cat is not current on the DRC (FVRCP) vaccine or has never been vaccinated we strongly recommend getting them in and vaccinated as soon as you can. They do not have to be an outside cat to contract this, you can carry it inside.

Unfortunately, this virus is often deadly despite supportive care and treatment. Please see the link below for more information.
