Hall of Fame trainer D. Wayne Lukas has retired from racing after being diagnosed with a severe Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) infection. He has chosen to forgo aggressive treatment and instead spend his time with his family.

Lukas, a legendary figure in horse racing, won 15 Triple Crown races and 20 Breeders’ Cup races over his remarkable career. His achievements earned him four Eclipse Awards for Outstanding Trainer. Among his many accomplished runners are the likes of Winning Colors, Serena’s Song, Thunder Gulch, Lady’s Secret, and Cat Thief. His longtime assistant, Bas Nicholl, will take over the stable.

Our thoughts are with Lukas and his loved ones during this time.

We love our customers, and it has been nothing short of a joy to watch our youngest customers grow so much in the two years since we opened.

Sadly, horse show season is on a pandemic hold and we may not get to see a lot of our friends this summer, but we are hopeful.

During this time we have been doing “the cooler pickup” outside the store, and I recently fine tuned our website some so you can shop on line. It is a little but of a slow go but I intend to add items every day! If there is something you need or want and you don’t see it, drop me a line!
