We finally settled on a name for our Chinese Box Turtle!
We settled on Mei. Mei means beautiful in Chinese. You can come see her anytime we are open. 🐢
Chinese Box Turtles are a critically endangered species found in China, mostly along the Fuchun, Pearl, and Yangtze River drainages. In Japan they are found mostly in southern Ryukyu and Tiawan, in the Tamsui River.
Their conservation status is due to being harvested for human consumption, to make traditional Chinese medicine, and poaching for the pet trade.
Mei was born in the USA by ethical breeders.

We have availability next Tuesday and Thursday for private tours!
🐍🐊🕷️🐢🦂🦎🐸🐠🪲🦜
Get up close to animals that don’t come out during our general admission hours. This includes our biggest snakes, lizards, and some of the more delicate species that don’t come out with large crowds.
Feed the alligators, turtles, monitor lizards, and some of the snakes.

Adults: $65
Kids: $45
No minimum or maximum amount of people required.
