🎤 This Saturday — Open Mic Night for a Cause! 🦡
Join us Saturday, June 6 at 6 PM for a fun evening of music, community, and fundraising at Family Traditions Animal Adventure LLC
🎶 Singers perform FREE
🎟 Guest admission is $10 per person
🍔 The Galley Food Truck will be on site from 3–7 PM

This isn’t just a night of entertainment — it’s a fundraiser to help us build a habitat for two North American badgers that urgently need placement from a facility that is closing. Our goal is to create a safe, enriching enclosure similar to the one you see here for Kalahari.

25% of proceeds will also support the Adams County Arts Committee, with the remaining funds going directly toward the badger exhibit fundraiser.

Come sing, listen, eat, and support wildlife education, animal rescue efforts, and the arts all in one night!

We have some news to share… yesterday we welcomed a new raccoon ambassador to our zoo family! 🦝❤️

This little girl was captive born and raised specifically for the purpose of becoming an educational ambassador animal. She was NOT taken from the wild, and we strongly believe that wildlife belongs in the wild. Our mission is to help educate the public about respecting native wildlife and understanding why wild animals should stay wild.

She was donated to us and will help teach guests about raccoons, conservation, and responsible wildlife practices for years to come.

If you ever find a wild animal that appears injured or orphaned, please do not try to keep it as a pet. Instead, contact a licensed wildlife rehabilitator. One great resource is 1-800-WILDLIFE for advice and assistance.

Now for the fun part… this baby needs a name!

We are still raising funds to build a new enclosure for two badgers we are taking in from a facility that is closing down. These animals require a safe and enriching home, and you can help make that happen!

And that’s a wrap on our 2026 Zoo Day Camp!

This year we welcomed 27 campers for a week full of animals, learning, games, enrichment, and unforgettable experiences. Thank you to all of the parents and families for allowing your children to spend the week with us and supporting our programs. We were fortunate to have such a great group of campers who were respectful, curious, and eager to learn each day.

A huge thank you also goes out to our camp counselors, zoo crew members, guest speakers, and volunteers who helped make this week possible. Programs like this take a lot of teamwork behind the scenes, and we appreciate everyone who dedicated their time and energy to creating a fun and educational experience for these kids.

We hope everyone made lasting memories and learned something new about the animal world this week!
