Darby, Duke, Dixie, Tyrion, Sunny, and Moonflower are the loving pets of Dr. Bowles and her family!

Darby is an adorable puggle, adopted by Dr. Bowles' Family in 2017, and we think he is almost 9. He is cuddly, funny, and looks very cute in a pair of glasses!

Duke was our next addition—he was born as a patient of Burke Forest. Duke was surrendered back to his wonderful breeder family due to an intestinal obstruction, Dr. Bowles removed 5 pacifiers from his belly. While he was recovering, Dr. Bowles convinced her partner, Chuck, that he needed a dog. Years later, he and Chuck both moved in. He is loyal and energetic yet cuddly!

Dixie joined the family in September 2023. She was bred in West Virginia, with a wonderful lab family. Dr. Bowles had seen her "cousin" in the clinic, and she commented to the owner, "I want that kind of lab". Dixie is smart, charming, and the hairiest of the pack!

Tyrion, the only one without a "D" name—because they didn't name him. Tyrion was adopted first by a family member who, unfortunately, fell ill, and ultimately, Tyrion needed a place to be. His special bond with Dr. Bowles' kids made it obvious where he would end up. Tyrion is Evan's constant shadow. Tyrion is also the only one of the dogs who doesn't believe he is a dog—It is obvious to him, that he is one of us instead.

The cats! Sunflower was adopted in 2021. She is an orange female, which is one of Dr. Bowles favorites. She is bashful and timid, except with Tyrion, who she loves to romp around with!

Moonflower, or Mooney, was adopted on Black Friday 2024, from 4Paws Cat Rescue. She is small but mighty, and learned to rule the roost very quickly. She is Lily's constant companion who loves snuggles, and to play!
