We were able to catch one yesterday, but it broke our hearts to leave the other one by herself overnight. We were so excited to check the trap at 7:00 this morning and find this sweet pup safely inside! ❤️

Because of your kindness, teamwork, and dedication, these two girls now have the chance at the loving future they deserve. They have been given a fresh start, and from this day forward, they'll receive the care, love, and happy life they've always deserved.

These two dogs are at the Blackwater Boat Ramp. Unfortunately, we haven't been able to get close enough to safely catch them.
If these are your dogs and they're lost, please come pick them up as soon as possible. If they were intentionally left here, that's an entirely different matter.
In the meantime, we'll continue trying to safely catch them and get them to safety. If anyone recognizes these dogs or knows who they belong to, please let us know.

🚨 RESCUE NEEDED ASAP FOR HIPPIE 🚨
Hippie needs a rescue immediately. She is very pregnant, and the veterinarian estimates she will deliver in the next 10–14 days. They described her as having a "belly full of babies." We are hoping she doesn't have to give birth in the shelter.
Hippie tested positive for Lyme disease on her 4DX test and has started a 30-day course of daily medication.
Despite everything she's been through, Hippie is an absolute sweetheart. ❤️
🐾 We believe she is a Dachshund Mix and she weighs 35 lbs.
🐾 Hippie LOVES people and wants nothing more than to sit in your lap and be petted.
🐾 She gets along well with other dogs.
🐾 Shows no reaction to cats, chickens, or ducks.

Meet our EKCC obedience trained crew: Stryker, Raven, Sweet-Girl, and Rowan! 🐾
These four friendly dogs love people and get along great with other dogs. Through the obedience program, they've been working hard on:
• Socialization. Housebreaking. Leash training. Crate training. Basic obedience, including sitting on command.
We cannot say how any of them would be with cats.
Each of these dogs is building the skills and confidence needed to become a wonderful companion. If you're looking for a well started, friendly dog, one of these amazing pups could be the perfect match!
