This is Kokobean! 1.5-2 year old Boxer mixed. She is an absolute sweetheart! She loves people, loves playing with other dogs, and does well with cats. We don’t know how she would do with chickens being that she was a stray.
If you could give this girl the home she so desperately needs, please stop in to meet her.

Duke is such a good boy. Waiting for a visit with Dr Ward.

Update: Pending Adoption.

This is Athena-Rose! 5-6 month old female German Shepherd. She weighs 34 lbs. Friendly as can be, a bit hyper, looking for her forever home. Her adoption fee is sponsored by Kathy Kontor and Madeline Zinger from Latrobe, PA. She has had a booster vaccine, dewormer, Nexgard, and will be spayed and receive a rabies vaccine. She gets along with other dogs, we don’t know how she would be with cats or chickens.
If you would like to give Athena-Rose the forever home she deserves, stop by during operating hours to meet her.

Dog Shelter

Morgan County Animal Shelter is County operated and we are not a rescue facility. We are a dog only shelter and intake strays, abandoned and surrendered dogs from Morgan County

We strive to adopt our dogs to loving families. We require all dogs adopted from the Morgan County Animal Shelter to be Spayed or Neutered before going to their new home. Adoption applicants must complete an adoption application and provide their current or past Veterinarian for reference; showing current dogs are up to date on vaccines, spayed or neutered.

In order to avoid euthanasia, when an animal is not adopted we work with approved rescues to pull these dogs from our Shelter.

The Shelter is located at 6591 HWY 460 W – West Liberty, KY. We are in the metal building at the junction of 460 and 705. We are open to the public Monday Tuesday Wednesday and Friday 8 am to 4 pm. Closed Holidays. There are times during operating hours that the shelter will be closed for stray pick-up or when emergency vetting occurs.
