I will never understand watching sports (and especially making it your entire personality). I’d much rather PLAY! I get asked a lot why I teach my dogs to climb walls. FIRST of all it’s fun. It’s also a good workout, a trust building exercise, a sport! If you’re debating dabbling in a dog sport do it. Let Kevin judge you from his couch while watching the Axolotls vs the Platypuses or whatever.

Reactivity, low confidence, high arousal, recall, disconnection can all be solved without positional obedience and without control. When we learn to teach our dogs games they LOVE to play, we can use that AS dog training.

Classes are VIRTUAL! Anyone can attend.

Our 4 week Board and Train dogs don’t learn a lick of positional obedience. Recall, loose leash walking, clarity on when it’s time to play vs when it’s time to chill. That’s it, that’s all most dog owners actually want in their dog.

When we think of training, most people think of obedience. I don’t. And I’ll never go back. Play is the way! If you want to learn more, I have classes available at my link in bio. If you want help choosing, drop a comment about your goal or problem and I’ll point you in the right direction!

Your dog never seems to sleep, your puppy is overstimulated and bitey, your dog can’t turn “off” after you play? We can fix that! “Enough” is my virtual group course that focuses fully on teaching dogs to take a deep breath when asked and to better regulate their nervous systems (you might learn how to regulate yourself while we’re at it!) My “Intro to Play-Based Training” course focuses on clarity in showing your dog when it time to play with us, relax when asked, go be a dog when allowed, and when it’s time to work (obedience) - this one is mostly theory but will likely change the way you view dog training entirely. It did for me! Great for curious dog trainers and pet owners alike. Ask me anything about these in the comments, and I’ll gladly expand on the concepts and setup, or guide you in the right direction.

New Virtual Group Classes!!

PLAY covers how all play is really the same thing, and gets deep into how to use Food Play, Toy Play and Personal Play in your training. You'll leave with a deep understanding of Play as a concept, so you can customize your games to fit your dog's interests and hobbies.

ENOUGH is about teaching your dog to take a deep breath on cue. They'll understand how to turn off after play, and how to be calm anywhere - including around their triggers. The goal is nervous system regulation and emotional control for both dog and human.

INTRO TO PLAY-BASED TRAINING is mainly theory - this one is great for the knowledge seekers and for dog trainers who want to learn how to use these concepts to teach clients to actually enjoy and follow through with training. It focuses on HOW to train using play, and explores Jay Jack's Window Theory so you can ask your dog to read the room and match the vibe on cue, whether that means to play with you, go be a dog, relax, or work.

THAT'S SO FETCH focuses on teaching a clear game of fetch - with any toy including a frisbee (we'll touch on how to throw them). We'll build a cooperative game that focuses on relationship building and clarity.
