🐰 Meet Hoptimus Prime! 🐰

This handsome bunny has already proven he's a survivor. Hoptimus Prime came to us as a stray after someone spotted him hopping around their yard. He had clearly been on his own for quite some time, arriving with severely overgrown nails and in need of a little TLC. Through it all, though, he never lost his cheerful attitude.

Hoptimus Prime is incredibly friendly, easy to handle, and loves spending time with people. Whether he's accepting a tasty treat or just hanging out by your side, he's happiest when he's getting a little attention.

He's also got a bit of personality mixed in with all that patience. While helping clean him up, we let his feet soak in a shallow pool of water. He sat politely and tolerated it for quite a while before deciding he'd had enough—making his opinion known with a few bunny thumps and some enthusiastic splashing!

If you're looking for a sweet, social rabbit with a great story and an even better personality, Hoptimus Prime is ready to hop his way into your heart and home. ❤️

❤️ Update: Rescued! ❤️
Roxey is looking for a very special person to give her a chance! ❤️

Roxey has been at the shelter for over two weeks, and the transition has been incredibly hard on her. For her first week, she was so frightened that she wouldn’t even come out of her kennel. But little by little, she’s starting to show us who she really is.

Roxey is a sweet, sensitive girl who desperately wants connection. With a handful of treats, a little patience, and a few minutes spent sitting quietly by her kennel, she begins to relax and let her guard down. She’s very food motivated and is slowly learning that people can be trusted.

Outside, we’ve started to see glimpses of her personality emerge. She’ll break into adorable zoomies, then suddenly remember she’s nervous and look for reassurance. It’s both heartbreaking and hopeful to watch. Roxey has done great with other dogs and previously lived with cats without any issues.

What Roxey needs most is someone who can look past her fear and see her potential. She isn’t the dog who will run up to greet you on day one, but for the right person, helping her learn to feel safe again will be incredibly rewarding.

Come meet Roxey Monday - Friday 10am - 6pm. West Jordan Animal Services, 5982 W New Bingham Hwy, West Jordan, UT.

⭐️Update: Adopted⭐️
Meet Mort 🖤

Mort is a 2-year-old girl with a personality so adorable and unique that she truly steals the spotlight everywhere she goes. Honestly, she might just be the cutest cat you’ll ever meet.

When Mort is happy, she throws herself onto the floor and rolls around so dramatically that she almost does a little somersault. She’s incredibly talkative too, chirping and chatting away while you spend time with her like she has endless stories to tell.

This girl is all about her people. Toys? Not that interesting. Mort would much rather spend her time glued to your side, rubbing against your legs, following you from room to room, and soaking up every bit of attention she can get. She absolutely loves pets and belly rubs — which is probably why she’s always rolling over for more.

Mort is such a special, one-of-a-kind kitty that she would really love to be the only star of the show in her future home. She prefers soaking up all the attention for herself and wasn’t too interested in making feline or canine friends here at the shelter.

If you’re looking for a constant companion, professional cuddler, and tiny chirping best friend, Mort is ready to fill that role perfectly. ⭐️ Her adoption fee is $45 at West Jordan Animal Services, 5982 W New Bingham Hwy, West Jordan, UT. The shelter is open Monday–Friday, 10 AM–6 PM.

⭐️Update: Adopted!⭐️
We’re so happy to see Tina got so much love and was adopted again so quickly, but we’re heartbroken that Dallas, our longest resident, still hasn’t had anyone come for him. 💔

Dallas is 4 years old and is basically a giant, blocky pitopotamus whose greatest passions in life are snacks, zoomies, and being involved in absolutely everything you do.

He previously lived with another dog and did great, and he’d probably love a playful canine bestie to wrestle with, nap beside, and commit minor acts of chaos together. He also doesn’t seem to mind cats at the shelter.

Dallas is goofy, affectionate, hilariously expressive, and the kind of dog who keeps you laughing every single day. Is he academically gifted? Not exactly. Does he occasionally seem confused by his own feet? Absolutely. But he loves people with his whole entire heart, and you can feel it the second you meet him.

Dogs like Dallas get overlooked far too often simply because they’ve been waiting awhile. But the longer we know him, the more we adore him. He deserves so much more than growing old in a kennel.

Please come in to meet Dallas at West Jordan Animal Services. We're open Monday–Friday from 10 AM–6 PM.

Meet Wallabee 🦘

Straight from the outback, this adventure-loving guy is ready to hop his way into your life! Wallabee is a 3-year-old pup who is always ready for the next journey, whether that’s a hike, a road trip, or just running by your side through the neighborhood.

He absolutely loves other dogs and would thrive in a home with a canine buddy to wrestle, play, and explore with. Treat toys are also some of his favorite things!

And while his unique markings may make him look like a little old man with a receding hairline, don’t let that fool you — Wallabee is still very much in his prime and ready to keep up with every adventure you’ll let him tag along on.

If you’re looking for a loyal sidekick with a goofy look and an adventurous spirit, Wallabee is your guy. 💛

Wallabee came into the shelter already neutered so his adoption fee is only $45! Who wouldn’t pay that price for their new best friend?! Come meet him today at West Jordan Animal Services, 5982 W New Bingham Hwy, West Jordan, UT. The shelter is open Monday–Friday, 10 AM–6 PM.

⭐️Update: Adopted!⭐️
Tina was just returned to the shelter after a few days in her new home because the resident dog wasn’t adjusting well to having a doggy sibling. We’re absolutely heartbroken to see this sweet little hippo back at the shelter through no fault of her own. 💔

Tina is around 2 years old and completely overflowing with love. She’s the kind of pitopotamus who leans her entire body into you for affection — sometimes with so much enthusiasm she might accidentally knock you over. Scratch behind her ears and her legs slowly give out until she melts into a happy puddle on the floor.

She’s also obsessed with toys, especially her beloved little wizard toy that she proudly carries around everywhere she goes. Tina loves parading her toys around while soaking up as many pets, compliments, and cuddles as possible.

Tina has done great with other dogs and would likely love a playful canine friend to wrestle, play, and snuggle with. She’s goofy, affectionate, and full of personality. She does have a strong interest in cats, so a cat-free home would be best.

We would really love to see Tina back out of the shelter soon. Dogs like her bond so deeply with people, and it’s hard watching her lose the home she thought was hers.

Go meet Tina at West Jordan Animal Services. They’re open Monday–Friday from 10 AM–6 PM.

Congratulations Tina! We are so excited for you and your new family on all of your new adventures! ❤️❤️

Meet Sampson 💙

Sampson is a 4-year-old husky with the brightest blue eyes and a personality to match. He looks at the world like every single thing in it was put here just to make his day better. A leaf blowing across the ground? Best surprise ever. A bird flying by? Obviously an invitation to play. A toy in front of him? It definitely squeaks, and he is going to make absolutely sure of it.

This happy boy sees the good in everything, and his excitement for life is impossible not to smile at. Sampson brings that classic husky energy — curious, playful, expressive, and always ready to investigate whatever is happening around him.

And on top of all that personality, he is absolutely stunning. Sampson has striking black patches around both eyes that make those bright blue eyes stand out even more, adorable little black freckles sprinkled across his nose, and handsome brown fluff along his legs and tail that make him look like he was painted perfectly by hand.

Sampson is the kind of dog that turns heads everywhere he goes, but it’s his joyful spirit that really steals your heart. 💙

Come meet Sampson at West Jordan Animal Services 5982 W New Bingham Hwy, West Jordan, UT Open Monday–Friday, 10 AM–6 PM

⭐️Update: Adopted!⭐️
Dallas is still patiently waiting for someone to finally see what a good boy he is.

This 4-year-old pit bull mix is a big goofy sweetheart who doesn’t ask for much in life — just some treats, some love, and someone to let him be part of the family. He’s the kind of dog who is happiest simply hanging out beside you, soaking up attention and enjoying the moment.

Dallas previously lived with another dog and did great with canine friends. He would likely love a dog buddy to wrestle, lounge, or relax with after a long day of being adorable.

He’s a large boy with plenty of energy and personality, so he’ll do best with a secure backyard where he can safely play, explore, and stretch those long legs.

Behind that big blocky head is a dog with an even bigger heart. Dallas is silly, lovable, treat-motivated, and guaranteed to make you smile with his goofy personality and happy little antics. He may not be winning any academic awards anytime soon, but he absolutely excels at being lovable.

Dallas has been waiting patiently for his second chance. Now he just needs someone willing to give him one. 💙
