Ghost video of Trey, Judd and me from the showcase in Heber. We went 1-2-3 on this run. Coming off the barrel we were surprisingly pretty even. Pretty cool view.

Weather wasn’t great for riding so we tried something we’ve thought about trying for a while. We had fun and we will be back. The boys did amazing for their first time. Super friendly group. Get in touch with the Promontory Point Posse here in Utah. They remind me of mounted shooters - extremely welcoming and encouraging to new shooters.

Beautiful 50 degrees and sunny yesterday. It started in the afternoon with “I think I’ll get some posts set today” and turned in to “It’s not that late, maybe I’ll just finish the fence”

Great time today with some of the Gem state gunslingers. Everyone made progress today - that’s what it’s all about!
These clinics are a lot of fun. I love breaking down the process and helping teach each part of it separate. That’s one of the keys to success. Finding where the holes are in your training and build confidence from there.

I talk in the clinics about being a little ‘extra’. In practice we try to have perfect form and slow the shooting down in our mind I tell the boys to pretend we are making an instructional video. Well this run really stood out. Judd was extra smooth and form is amazing here He isn’t rushed at all, he is targeting early, waiting for his shots, following through after the shot and his gun change is super smooth. Practice pays off but perfect practice is where it’s at. Slow it down to speed up.

Logistics of hauling 8 horses, hay, gear, guns, Armstrong Leather Works chaps and holsters, food and 6 people 1000 miles to Texas is definitely a team effort. Huge shoutout to Hadlee and Dave-LaRaun Nielsen.

First time coaching at one of the major competitions - things went amazingly well! Everyone made great progress and pushed their limits. Looking forward to the next one!

Congratulations to both Tom and JD on their big wins in Vegas this weekend.

This was Tom's 1st major shoot to attend, and he went out there and got it done coming in 1st in his class and 11th overall. That's pretty dang exciting!

This was not JDs 1st major. He has definitely been around a time or two, and as if he didn't already have enough going on with his own runs and his kids' runs, he also coached others throughout the weekend to help them improve their skills, he loves this sport and helping others get better.
