Our Story
The animals are rescued from several locations throughout the US as the animals become available or the need to rescue arises. Rescue and care is conducted on a 24/7 basis. Donations are accepted for help with Veterinary care and daily operational costs for running our Kennels. We are a 501c3 and rely solely on donations to continue to help these animals in need. Please visit www.greenmorerescue.org to participate in our life-saving work by volunteering, adopting a dog or by donating and becoming a Greenmore Angel.

It’s a great day for Sage 🐾
Such a sweet girl and we’re so happy to see that she found her FurEver family along with a fur sibling.
There are so many amazing pups up for adoption at Greenmore Farm Animal Rescue. Check out their page and maybe you’ll find your new best friend. ❤️
Pupdate 🐾
We’re so happy to see that Rocky found his furEver home. We transported him back in July to Greenmore Farm Animal Rescue. Such a big sweetheart ❤️
What a great day for rescue! 🐾
It’s hard seeing so many dogs that started out life by living in horrible situations but so many people came together to make sure that would all change.
Thank you to our Kentucky rescue partners that went in and saved these pups. They took them into their own homes to give them proper care and extra love while waiting for transport.
Yesterday our NDLB team, Dave and Tiffany, drove to Greenmore Farm Animal Rescue where all 27 pups received much love, plenty of food, and a great place to heal before being available for adoption.
We loved 🥰 seeing happy, wagging tails before we headed back to Pittsburgh.
Happy to our trusted sidekick! We love that Maisey chose us 14 years ago and has kept us on our toes every day since!
Owning, training and caring for a dog is a big responsibility, and it’s not for everyone, but their gifts of unconditional love, loyalty and daily dose of humor make it more than worthwhile.
If you’re thinking of adopting a dog, talk to the wonderful folks at Lamancha Animal Rescue and Greenmore Farm Animal Rescue!
Patti says rescuing dogs is the most wonderful way to find a pet!
"6 months after our beloved rescue dog, Maynard, passed away, my son started talking about a basset hound. We were all wishing for another dog, so the search was on!
We found a little mixed basset called Milo at Greenmore Farm Animal Rescue near Lancaster and went to see him. Milo was a bit scared of us and started barking wildly, but a few minutes later he warmed up to my daughter and me.
The staff were worried that he wouldn’t accept my son, because Milo seemed most afraid of men, but within a minute or two in the enclosed yard, Milo ran up to my son and started playing. The staff were so excited because Milo had been there for a whole year and was rejected by several families.
We love Milo – he’s a basset mixed with Labrador, so he’s unusual looking but always gets comments from others at the dog park!"

Last week, CEO & President of Bravo Consulting Group, Gino Degregori, was the pilot and flew a plane for a last minute rescue mission to help Amelia Air, a charity organization dedicated to saving pets with planes, transport six stray hound dogs that were rescued from the Kentucky floods. There were three puppies all from the same litter, and three adults, one of which was pregnant. The dogs are now with Greenmore Farm Animal Rescue located in West Grove, PA and are ready for adoption! If you are interested in adopting one of these dogs, please visit greenmorerescue.org.
About Amelia Air:
Amelia Air is a non-profit organization that is on track to rescue 500 pets by plane by the end of this year. They are committed to doing everything in their power to reduce the number of companion animals euthanized each year because they simply do not have homes.

This is the second Florida Urgent Rescue transport to help Kentucky animals after the deadly flooding last week. Kentucky communities are still coming to grips with the disaster after devastating flash floods swept through overnight. Even though the flood waters have subsided, the damage is widespread. Local shelters are overwhelmed, and animals are still in danger. Nearby shelters that weren’t directly impacted by the flooding are taking in more animals to help neighboring counties, and they're all full, too.
Julia Altman and Greenmore Farm Animal Rescue have stepped up again and again to help animals in need. Greenmore Farm Animal Rescue took in Ace, a Great Pyr who was in rough shape. When he went to the vet they shaved him, so he looks like a brand new dog now. Greenmore also took in several more dogs from Kentucky on a previous transport. LaMancha Animal Rescue took in 4 dogs from Kentucky on this trip: Tyson, Jeff, Hayden and Harper. We always appreciate these rescues taking in animals in need—even more so now that everyone, everywhere is full. They still somehow made room for more.
Thank you Cindy Smith for again planning and coordinating the transport. Once again, our ever reliable FUR volunteer Kevin D***s did the transport. He transported 8 dogs from Kentucky to Atlantic City last week. When we asked if he was up for another trip, he said "of course!" He made a second trip back to Kentucky, this time taking 5 dogs to safety in PA before starting the long drive home.
The FUR Urgent Transport program moves out dogs and cats who were already in shelters before the storm to make room for the wave of incoming animals. We do not transport strays.
The FUR Urgent Transport Program has done disaster relief missions after many natural disasters in the past, including many hurricanes and the Kentucky Tornado, in addition to completing multiple rescue missions in Ukraine. We also do non-emergency transports to help relieve pressure on crowded rural shelters.

This fur crew from Kentucky had a long day on the road to rescue and we’re so happy to be a part of getting them to safety.
Thank you Beth Rubin for beginning the first part of this journey from Kentucky River Regional Animal Shelter and Morgan County KY Animal Shelter. Beth is amazing with animals and their care. They always have a special bond with her. ❤️
Thank you to our transport drivers, David Stash and Tiffany, for going on the 2nd part of this journey and making sure all the dogs arrived safely at Greenmore Farm Animal Rescue and Voorhees Animal Orphanage.
There’s nothing quite like seeing these dogs so happy with wagging tails and lots of kisses. It’s the best Thank You we could ever receive. 🐾
Many of you have wondered if we’ll be helping with the 4,000 rescued beagles from Virginia. We’re happy to say we are - through our medical services! 10 gorgeous beagles, and hopefully more soon, got fixed on our Fido Fixers van today! We are feeling mighty grateful to be part of the system of lifesavers giving these sweet dogs the life they have always deserved. Those interested in adopting can reach out to our friends at Greenmore Farm Animal Rescue!
Hi! Wanted to share a picture of our lovable Claire, whom we adopted from you.
