Image Reveal:

There are sessions that are fun, and then there are sessions that stay with you. This one with and her two senior besties, Beau and Maggie, is firmly in that second category.

Watching Marikate see their portraits for the first time was everything. That pause. That smile that quickly turned into something deeper. Those are the moments that remind me the impact an image can make on someone, and why I love what I do. These aren’t just snapshots, they’re a way of holding onto something that never feels like we get enough time with.

Marikate, thank you for trusting me to capture you love for them. Truly. It means more than you know.

To anyone thinking about it. Don’t wait for the “perfect” time. The right moment is the one you’re in right now.

This image wasn’t planned. It happened in that quiet in-between moment where Bailey simply leaned into the light. No tricks, no staging, just instinct and presence. Those are the moments I’m always chasing.

For me, this is what dog portraiture is about. Creating something that lives beyond the moment, something you feel every time you see it on your wall.
