I've been on a RED painting frenzy this week. One section of the fence is done, three to go... I confess, I'm a super messy painter. I chose an old shirt and old jeans last Monday to start painting and, well, let's just say they've been officially retired to painting duty this week. Tomorrow, when I finish painting some white trim boards, these trusty clothes are headed for the garbage. They've done their job - they're covered in enough red and white paint to last a lifetime.

Our sweet little MapleAnnie! People ask us all the time why the deer have tags in their ears. All of our deer have to have 2 tags for identification for our State. This yellow one is our State one...it has a chip in it so when it is our yearly inspection our inspector can just wave a wand near it to read it.She also has a white farm tag. Her number is #1! Just because we love her so much! The problem with that white tag is the other deer chew on it when they lay near each other.. So I have to remark her tag with a special marker. SO that is why they have ear tags! Here is her 2 day old baby picture!

Here is me and my favorite farmer! This week I am on break from school...many people go on vacation to somewhere warm and sunny, but not me! I actually prefer to stay home during breaks! 1st it is hard to leave all these chores to someone...2nd there is SO MUCH spring work to do here! I have a list of projects I want to get done each day..Most people don't understand farming if you don't live it. There is a lot of satisfaction in getting jobs done and checking it off the list. I am hoping to have the farm ready for visitors next month (May) The ground is so wet and muddy it is hard to get ground work ..there is plenty of other work to do! John Broe Sr. does his list...I do mine.... then we do the together list! 🌼🌻🐝🌞💪🌺🌻🌼 #

Broe Cousins! We were truly blessed to have our Broe family Easter Egg Hunt yesterday! We had all but one of our precious Grandchildren here...it is a challenge to gather everyone, but it's always worth it. We have 3 Adult sons and their wives and 7 Grandchildren, and when we are together, it's a beautiful chaos filled with LOTS of Love! It's incredible to have a range of Grandchildren from ages 21 down to 2, and we feel so grateful for every moment we share. Our 18-year-old Grandson Tucker convinced his Uncles to refill the eggs and do A second Egg Hunt for the younger cousins! We had a wonderful brunch with everyone bringing food to share! Poppa and I are overflowing with gratitude and feel so thankful for this beautiful family! 🐰🥚🌸🎉👪
