This is how Max and I start our day... well this is after he has run off his zoomies..lol.. then we quietly look out over our farm and remember how blessed we are to have our beautiful farm.

We didn't get a lot of blueberries this year..BUT the ones we did get were great. I let my farm campers pick most of them. I LOVE fresh picked blueberries. I remember as a little girl my Dad loading us 7 kids in his car and driving to some field that was full of wild blueberries. We would pick all day and come home with sooo many little wild Blueberries..they were so good. He would say "Elin now we need blueberry pie for these kids" My mother made the best pie crust! I love old memories of our simple childhood over in Westmore VT.

A little Grammy and Warren time down in the woods playing!

Grammy had a little Warren time last night. . While Poppa was doing chores! To Wilderness Camp we went! He loved seeing all the shelters the campers had made. He did lots of cooking down in the woods... for pretend! I feel it very important to let kids play in the woods... play with mud and water and sticks and leaves. It is very sad how many campers would come here on Monday NOT knowing how to PLAY in the Woods...And PRETEND to COOK..That is what we use to do as kids! DiD you grow up just playing??? My mission was to send kids home tired and dirty!

Some friends stopped by for a visit. She grew up on the farm down the road. Her Dad farmed right beside John's family farm for so many years.They always helped each other if someone needed help.John remembers one time that his Dad wanted to take his young family to the Drive in Theater. Henry (her Dad) lent him some money to go.( 60 years ago) If someone cows got out they helped each other put the cows back in. It is what good neighbors did! They were both just good hardworking farmers struggling to keep their farms going. SO glad they stopped in to see what we are doing here on the land next to land she grew up on. I think she was very surprised to see all we have her on our little farm!

We are partnering with Rustic Roots Kitchen who will be bringing her Grazing Cart to feed us.. Highland Cow Cupcakes and Crafts. Meet and brush Scottie..give him hugs and take pictures with him!
