I am so proud of the kind, compassionate, and empathetic young man Gabe is becoming. When Brian discovered a baby mouse in a tote in his ice shack, with no nest or family in sight, Gabe immediately stepped in. He took on the responsibility of feeding this tiny creature every 3–4 hours, even through the night. The mouse has nothing to offer him in return, yet Gabe’s first instinct was to give it a chance at life. His willingness to care selflessly for something so small and vulnerable speaks volumes about the depth of his character. I wanna be like Gabe when I grow up.

Cooper and Sebastian have been with us for a couple of years now, though it feels like we’ve shared an even longer journey together. During this time, I’ve worked closely with their owner to monitor and address a few minor health concerns. I’m truly grateful for the trust placed in me—both in my knowledge of dogs and in my judgment about when to provide care personally and when to involve their owner or veterinarian. It’s an honor to support their well-being as part of their care team.
