Meet Me Monday! 💚

This week, we’re excited to introduce you to Erika, one of our veterinary technicians at GoodVets Wesley Chapel!

Originally from Ecuador, Erika has been in the veterinary field since she was 18 years old, gaining experience in small-animal medicine throughout her career. She attended Universidad San Francisco de Quito (USFQ), where she earned her DVM degree, and she is currently working toward obtaining her U.S. veterinary license.

Outside of veterinary medicine, Erika loves working out, baking, traveling, and planning her next adventure. She’s always listening to music, singing way too loudly, and dancing whenever she gets the chance!

On her days off, you’ll probably find Erika at home snuggling with her dogs and watching a good series, at the gym, exploring a new place or restaurant with her husband, or trying a new recipe at home. She and her husband are definitely foodies!

We’re so lucky to have Erika as part of our team and love getting to know the people behind the scrubs. Be sure to say hello the next time you see her at GoodVets Wesley Chapel!

Last but certainly not least, we’re wrapping up Veterinary Staff Appreciation Week by celebrating the three incredible veterinarians who care for our patients and lead our medical team: Dr. Kevin Mora, Dr. Kristen Lester, and Dr. Cassidy Meyers! 💚

Being a veterinarian is so much more than diagnosing illnesses and treating injuries. It means carrying the responsibility of making important medical decisions, advocating for patients who can’t speak for themselves, educating and supporting their families, and being there for people during some of their happiest moments and some of their hardest ones.

Dr. Mora, Dr. Lester, and Dr. Meyers each bring their own unique strengths, experience, and personality to our team, but they share one very important thing: a genuine love for their patients and the people who trust them with their care.

Whether they’re performing a procedure, working through a challenging case, answering questions, celebrating a new puppy or kitten, supporting a senior pet, or simply taking a few extra minutes to make a nervous patient feel safe, they give so much of themselves to the pets and families who walk through our doors.

And beyond their work with patients, we’re grateful for the way they support our entire team. They teach, mentor, listen, collaborate, and trust the people around them — all while helping us continue to grow as a hospital.

Dr. Mora, Dr. Lester, and Dr. Meyers, thank you for the countless hours, difficult decisions, long days, laughter, compassion, and heart you bring to GoodVets Wesley Chapel. We are incredibly lucky to have you, and even luckier to have a team that genuinely cares so deeply about the work we do.

Help us give our veterinarians some extra love in the comments and thank them for everything they do! 🐾

And with that, we’re wrapping up our Veterinary Staff Appreciation Week spotlights. To every member of our GoodVets Wesley Chapel family — thank you for everything you do to make our hospital what it is. We appreciate you more than you know. 💚

Veterinary Staff Appreciation Week continues, and today we’re celebrating the person who helps keep all the moving pieces of GoodVets Wesley Chapel moving: our Hospital Operations Manager, Taylor!

Official title: Hospital Operations Manager.

Unofficial titles: Chaos Wrangler. Professional Problem Solver. Dead Battery Changer. Occasional IT Department. Team Cheerleader. And, depending on the day, probably about 17 other things. 😂

Taylor is the person behind the scenes making sure our team has what they need to do what they do best — care for our patients and their families. From keeping the hospital running smoothly and supporting the team to solving the unexpected problems that inevitably come with veterinary medicine, there is rarely a dull moment!

But being an Operations Manager is about so much more than keeping the day-to-day operations on track. It’s about building a team, creating a positive culture, celebrating the wins, navigating the challenges, and making sure every person knows they are valued.

And if someone’s car battery happens to die in the parking lot… well, Taylor may or may not be the person you want to call. 😉

Taylor, thank you for everything you do for our team and our hospital — including all the things that never make it onto a job description. We appreciate the energy, heart, and care you pour into GoodVets Wesley Chapel every day!

Help us show Taylor some love in the comments!

And stay tuned — we have one more day of team appreciation coming your way! 💚

Veterinary Staff Appreciation Week continues, and today we’re celebrating two of the friendly faces who help make every visit to GoodVets Wesley Chapel a little better: Paige and Melany!

Our Client Service Representatives are often the first people our clients see when they walk through our doors and the last people they interact with when they leave. They help set the tone for the entire experience, and that is no small responsibility.

Paige and Melany are there to welcome our clients, answer questions, help coordinate appointments, keep communication flowing, and make sure our patients and their families feel cared for from the moment they arrive.

But their role goes far beyond answering phones and checking people in. Veterinary visits can sometimes come with a lot of emotions, questions, and uncertainty, and having someone at the front desk who is patient, understanding, and compassionate can make all the difference.

Paige and Melany, thank you for the kindness you show our clients, the care you have for our patients, and the support you give to the entire team. You are such an important part of our hospital, and we are so grateful for everything you bring to GoodVets Wesley Chapel!

Help us show Paige and Melany some love in the comments and thank them for all they do! 💚

And we’re not done yet! Stay tuned for the rest of the week as we continue celebrating more of our amazing GoodVets Wesley Chapel team.

Veterinary Staff Appreciation Week continues, and today we’re celebrating two incredible members of our GoodVets Wesley Chapel team: Christina and Jenni!

Our veterinary assistants play such an important role in keeping our hospital running smoothly and, most importantly, making sure our patients feel safe, comfortable, and cared for.

Christina and Jenni are there to help wherever they’re needed — whether that means preparing for appointments, assisting our doctors and technicians, caring for patients, keeping things organized, or stepping in to help a teammate. Their willingness to jump in and their dedication to our patients does not go unnoticed.

What we appreciate most about them is the heart they bring to their work. They treat every patient with kindness and compassion and are always willing to lend a helping hand to the people around them.

Christina and Jenni, thank you for everything you do for our patients, our clients, our doctors, and your teammates. Your hard work and positive presence make a difference every day, and we are so grateful to have you as part of our GoodVets Wesley Chapel family.

Help us show Christina and Jenni some love in the comments and thank them for all they do! 💚

Veterinary Staff Appreciation Week is here, and today we’re celebrating four very special members of our GoodVets Wesley Chapel team: Mariah, Audrey, Alexis, and Erika. 💚

Our veterinary technicians are such an important part of everything we do. They are the ones comforting a nervous patient, reassuring a worried pet parent, advocating for their patients, supporting our doctors, and somehow keeping a hundred things moving at once.

But what makes Mariah, Audrey, Alexis, and Erika so special goes beyond their clinical skills.

Each of them brings their own unique strengths, personality, and compassion to our team. They show up every day ready to care for our patients, support one another, and give their best to the families who trust us with their pets.

They celebrate the good moments with us, help carry us through the difficult ones, and make our hospital a better place simply by being part of it.

Mariah, Audrey, Alexis, and Erika — thank you for the patience you show, the compassion you give, the hard work you put in, and the love you have for your patients. You are valued, appreciated, and truly cherished members of our GoodVets Wesley Chapel family.

We are so lucky to have you. Thank you for everything you do, every single day. 🐾

Help us show these four some love in the comments and wish them a very happy Veterinary Technician Week!

And stay tuned throughout the rest of the week as we continue celebrating and highlighting the other amazing members of our GoodVets Wesley Chapel team! We can’t wait to show them some love, too. 💚

It’s National Veterinary Technician Week, and we’re spending it celebrating the techs who make GoodVets what it is.💛

It’s Veterinary Staff Appreciation Week!

Starting TOMORROW, we’re celebrating the incredible people who make veterinary medicine possible — and that means our entire team! 🩺🐶🐱

From our veterinarians and veterinary technicians to our assistants, client service team, and everyone working behind the scenes, every person plays an important role in caring for your pets and supporting their families.

Veterinary medicine is rewarding, but it can also be challenging. Our teams work long days, celebrate happy moments, navigate difficult ones, comfort scared patients, support worried pet parents, and give their hearts to the animals they care for every single day. 💚

So this week, we’re celebrating our team with gifts, goodies, and lots of appreciation — and we want to encourage you to celebrate your veterinary team, too! 🥰

It doesn’t have to be anything big. A handwritten thank-you note, a kind review, a favorite treat, a cup of coffee, or simply taking a moment to tell your veterinary team how much you appreciate them can mean more than you know.

And if your pet has a veterinary team that has made a difference in your life, tag them below and give them a little extra love this week! 🐾💚

To every member of the veterinary community: thank you for everything you do. We see you, we appreciate you, and we’re so grateful for you. 🩺✨

Happy Veterinary Staff Appreciation Week! 💚

🐶🐱 Friday fun!

Let’s settle some very important pet-parent debates. 😂

Would you rather...

🐾 Have a dog who follows you EVERYWHERE or a cat who chooses your lap exactly when you’re trying to get something done?

🛋️ Have your pet sleep on your bed every night or have them sleep in their own cozy bed?

🥓 Give your pet unlimited treats or unlimited toys?

🌊 Have a beach-loving dog or a hiking-loving dog?

📺 Have your pet watch TV with you or be your adventure buddy everywhere you go?

And the most important question...

Would you rather have a pet who steals your food or a pet who steals your spot on the couch? 👀

Tell us your answers in the comments — and feel free to add your own “Would You Rather?” question for fellow pet parents!

🐾 A few things your veterinary team wishes every pet parent knew…

We know it can be stressful when your pet isn’t feeling well, and sometimes it’s hard to know what information is important to share. Here are a few things that can make your pet’s visit even more helpful:

📋 Bring a list of medications and supplements — including anything you give at home that might seem unrelated.

📱 Videos are incredibly helpful! If your pet is doing something unusual at home that you can’t recreate in the clinic, take a video. It can give your veterinary team valuable information.

💬 Don’t be afraid to ask questions. There’s no such thing as a silly question when it comes to your pet’s health.

📝 Tell us about changes you’ve noticed, even if they seem small. Changes in appetite, drinking, bathroom habits, behavior, or activity can all be useful pieces of the puzzle.

❤️ And most importantly, trust your instincts. You know your pet better than anyone. If something feels different, it’s worth talking to your veterinary team.

Our goal is always to work together with you to give your pet the healthiest, happiest life possible.

What’s something you’ve learned from your veterinary team that you wish you had known sooner? Share it below! 💚
