Some people are lucky enough to have one mentor in their lifetime. I have been incredibly blessed to have two. 💔

It is with an incredibly heavy heart that I share the passing of someone who meant so much to me, my friend and mentor, Leslie.

When I first stepped into the world of showing and breeding Persians, there was so much I didn’t know. Leslie reached out before I ever even got my first show kitty and helped me learn things the right way from day one!
Having someone willing to share their knowledge, offer guidance, answer questions, and genuinely want to see you succeed is something I will never take for granted.

Leslie was one of those people. She did it all without ever asking for anything in return.

She dedicated so much of her life to these beautiful cats, showing for decades in CFA.. her knowledge, passion, and love for them were truly something special. I am forever grateful for everything she taught me, the trust she placed in me, and the friendship we shared.

One of the hardest parts of losing someone is knowing that there are conversations you’ll never get to have again, questions you’ll never get to ask, and moments you’ll never get to share. I wish we had more time.

For the last couple of months, as Leslie’s health unfortunately declined, her 3 beloved Persians have been here in my care. These cats were such an important part of her life, and I don’t take the responsibility of caring for them lightly.

As we begin looking toward their futures, I want to make something very clear: There is absolutely no timeline or rush to place these babies. They will remain here with me for as long as it takes to find them the very BEST homes.

These are beautiful, retired show cats who are still fairly young and deserve nothing less than a lifetime of love, stability, and happiness. Families interested in keeping them together will be given priority, because preserving those bonds whenever possible means so much to me.

I know in my heart that Leslie trusted my judgment when it came to placing her cats. I intend to honor that trust by being just as thoughtful and selective with their futures as I am with my own.

This isn’t about finding them homes quickly. It’s about finding them the RIGHT homes.

Leslie, thank you for believing in me, for teaching me, and for trusting me with something so precious to you. I hope I continue to make you proud.

Your legacy will live on through the beautiful cats you loved so dearly and the people whose lives you touched along the way.

Rest peacefully, my friend. You will be missed more than words can express… 💔🥹😭

This boy is the epitome of sweet! He has absolutely no boundaries, and offers zero personal space. 😅 just how I like my Persians! 🥰

I was supposed to leave for Miami this morning to go visit my dear friend/mentor… unfortunately I have to cancel that last minute and thankfully my vet was able to get me in so quickly this morning… Our poor little sweet pea is not feeling well, so we have to rearrange our schedule and make this a priority to get her seen ASAP

Nope, these cats sure don’t maintain themselves! 😂 And honestly, even if they did, they still require SO much time, love, and attention.

You see, Persians aren’t the type of cats that you can just pour some dry food for and head off to a 10–12 hour workday. (And realistically, I don’t think that should be acceptable for any cat.)

For those who know me personally, you know my work schedule is absolutely INSANE. On any given week, I’m working a bare minimum of 60 hours. Throw three young children into the mix, a household to maintain, and about a million other responsibilities, and I’m sure some people wonder how in the world I keep up with everything.

Well, the short answer is that I’m probably just insane. 😂

But the REAL answer? TEAMWORK.

My husband could honestly care less about me showing or breeding cats. It’s not his hobby, it’s mine. But what he DOES care about is the fact that it makes me happy.
He also knows that I take the responsibility of caring for these animals incredibly seriously. If something isn’t done, I stress about it. I feel guilty. Because at the end of the day.. these are living, breathing creatures that depend on us for absolutely everything.

And that’s where he steps up, every single time.

Whether it’s mopping floors, scooping litter boxes, cleaning, or preparing their raw food at 9 PM (and yes, he’s even done it at MIDNIGHT 😂), we work together to make sure everything gets done.

And it’s not just about keeping things clean or making sure they’re fed.

These cats deserve our TIME. Our attention. Our affection. Our respect.

Persians are incredibly social cats, for the most part. Of course, they all have their own personalities. I have one who is perfectly content lounging around without being bothered(she prefers her space honestly), and then I have others who practically suffocate me in the middle of the night because apparently sitting directly on my chest or FACE still isn’t close enough. 😂

But that’s exactly my point. Every single one of them has different needs, personalities, and ways of showing affection. And part of being a responsible breeder and owner is recognizing that and making the time to give them what they need.

Regardless of how busy life gets, how many hours we work, or what other responsibilities we have, my husband and I are always on the same page about one thing.

These animals didn’t ask to be here. We chose to bring them into our lives, and with that comes the responsibility to give them the absolute best life we possibly can.

Anyways, that’s just my two cents!

And a little shoutout to my amazing husband, who probably never imagined he’d be spending his evenings scooping litter boxes and preparing gourmet meals for a bunch of fluffy, demanding Persians. 😅

Thank you for supporting my crazy hobbies, for stepping up without being asked, and for always being my teammate in every aspect of life, whether it’s work, home, our children, or these cats.

I couldn’t do half of what I do without you.

I’m not exactly sure how this perfect angel is still available… well, actually, I do. 😂

1. I’m SUPER picky about placement, as I am with every single one of my kittens. We’ve had an influx of people thinking they can simply send over some money and reserve a kitten… unfortunately, that’s not how this works. We have an application process for a reason. Proper placement from day one will always be more important to me than making a sale.
2. I’ve been doing a TERRIBLE job advertising lately. 😂 My apologies. My work schedule has had me running around like a chicken with my head cut off, so I’ll take the blame for that one.
3. And finally, please don’t be discouraged if we decline you as a home. I promise, it’s never personal. If we see red flags or feel that one of our kittens isn’t the right fit for your home, we’re going to be honest about it. These babies depend on me to make the right decision for them, and I take that responsibility very seriously.

So yes… this perfect little angel is still 👀 for her perfect 🏡 . 🤍
She’s 5 months old now and still small but growing nicely- she’ll be a petite girl. She is spayed, up to date on all vaccines, and full of love and curiosity!
